C O N S E R V A T I O N :
Free Alternative Energy Available Now !

America Continues to Waste over 70% of the Energy it Consumes.
100's of millions of lights unnecessarily burn during the day and night, over heating and over cooling is the norm, over packaging, inadequate recycling, toxic landfills, horrendous road congestion, and our perverted obsession with road construction. Public and Private buildings, Schools, Churches, Homes, ... America's blatant energy waste and overuse is culturally pervasive, and abominable !

1- ONLY with a substantial and tangible economic reward/consequence will most Americans care to conserve.
Crude oil must be taxed at $200 per barrel and offset by making income tax begin at $60k.
Taxing energy is simple, fair, economically sound, and available TODAY.
2- The American auto industry must quickly transition to the 6.4 BILLION people reason$ to manufacture solar, wind, and other alternative energy producers. They already have the needed infrastructure. Every home and building in the world, could be using solar energy. We are fast running out of fossil fuels !

Humanity is racing toward extinction, via global warming, for our failure to stop our energy waste.
Taxing energy (in lieu of income taxes) is the ONLY incentive that will stop energy waste and cause renewable energy sources to be employed.

Hi Thomas! Welcome to District OK-05! You have a very impressive profile and would, I think, be great to have speak at one of our activities! Is there a particular reason you, being in CA, chose to join us Okies? If there is any way I can help you meet our goals, please let me know okay? I will keep you informed about new upcoming activities. Meanwhile, it would be great to have you in on some of the OK-05 discussions on the district page!
Again, welcome!

Thanks for your welcoming comment Thomas. Being a newcomer to the P-Plan there is much I need to learn and should probably start with understanding protocol and the organization. As I understand it, they have divided states up into either geographical districts or perhaps by areas under a certain California politician. You are the head of CA-7 correct?

I note your comment (and perhaps a bit of frustration of non-response) about a Micah Lauer being appointed as the new "Leader" over CA-7. I'm a bit confused by that as when I clicked on his photo it led me to a page where Mr. Lauer describes himself as an appointee to organize the Army in a number of states, none of which were California. Am I missing something? And is there somewhere on the P-plan websites that spells out the Charter (roles and responsibilities) of each position? Mr. Lauer's or yourselves for instance?

Enough on that for now. Here are several large issues that I am struggling with right now:
---- One bad turn of the oil import business (pirating, blockade, or whatever) will bring the US to it's knees.

---- All the talk, from the US government and here in the Pickens plan will, in my view, not reap energy reduction benefits for 3, 5, 7 or 10 years.

---- With those two things in mind, I cannot for the life of me understand why some of these bright minds are not pursuing the fastest fix. Energy conservation (changing peoples habits) and eliminating the "easy-to-do" energy wasters.

---- My view is that the US is in a very critical state. Comfort appears to abound but the reality is that things that are beyond the control of the US, could bring things to a halt quickly.

Having said all that, I want, and I believe you and others want, to see a comprehensive 10 year (120 month.... 520 week) plan developed and broadcast immediately.

Let me bring attention to just one of those quick-fixes. I have travelled the world for 20 years and have just returned to the US and spent the past 6 months here. I am utterly amazed at the "packaging" here. It takes a chainsaw to get into most any purchase item, and by my calculations (I have managed the construction of at least 10 plastics plants by the way) the US uses somewhere between 70-85% unnecessary material to wrap an item. If the public understood that, of the CONSTANTLY REPORTED 14 million barrels of oil imported daily (not really 14 million barrels of oil.... it is 9 million with the balance being BOE [barrels of oil equivalent] ..... oil derivatives) that go into making plastics, chemicals, fertilizers etc....So why not re-tool American packaging companies to save that? This should be in A PLAN.

Hence, the PLAN.......

Remembering my idiums... fail to plan, plan to fail, and.... if you can't measure it you can't control it, it seems to me that the Pickens program should not wait for the president-elect to be nominated and begin the plan, this can and should be done now, don't you think?

One more point and I'll go for now.

In this plan, the very first point of action should be to educate America about our 21 million barrels of day usage and where it goes. The public clearly does not understand this even in it's simplest form... the 5 million BOE imports for instance. I would encourage Mr. Pickens to gather a team of educators and broadcast personnel to put together a series of shows that show the public the path of say.... where their toothbrush came from. The trail would surely begin with a barrel of oil from outside the US, would have been turned into polyethylene or polypropylene in China, Malaysia or some other plastics raw material factory, formed and packaged in another place outside the US, then sent to the US on a foreign ship, powered by foreign bunker oil, Now what's wrong with this picture. Well......... the American public doesn't know this.

Education..... you can't have expertice until you have skill, you can't have skill without knowledge, and you can't have or pursue knowledge without Awareness. The first series would make the public AWARE.

Pleasure chatting at you Thomas. Ask me about energy management.

All the best,

Stephan Agnitsch - Father and Grandfather

Hello Thomas;

we appear to have much in common and live near each other. Does the district group ever meet? and if so, when and where? Virtual is nice but meeting the group would be nice. I have a number of issues to discuss that require more than a blog.

all the best,

Stephan

Welcome!
We are a voluntary community of individuals who are placing our combined support behind T. Boone Pickens and his efforts to send our government a clear (heard) message that we must reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil through the use of all domestic energy alternatives. This site is a place to interact with fellow Pickens Plan supporters, keep up with events and opportunities to help get more involvement. Look up your local leader from map on home pg.
Please, I ask the first sites you visit to get accurate info and articles to see pretty much what the plan is about and where the plan stands. Some are long, please; take the time to get all the details.
On the home page, click on About The Plan ~ Boone Cam ~ Blog
We need to Push.PickensPlan.com – or “Push” as we like to call it.
Our future really does depend on us at this point in time!
If not now, WHEN? If not you, WHO
? I am proud to put my efforts towards this cause.
Well as they say (the large lady voiced the end). Neither candidate openly gave his support outright for our plan. Both knew about it and to a degree felt the intense support behind it. It goes back to another old saying, on the political platform be careful how far you put your foot in the door.
There is a group for almost everything. The Forums/discussions on this site are many and you’ll probably find something that interests or concerns you. Some are very long and were started months ago. For the ones that concern you, Please keep in mind, events are remembered and relayed differently by those commenting, which as we all too well know equals at least three sides to the event.
Again Welcome; Tom- Welcome wagon crew- After you have read the sites I mentioned, if you need anything else to help you, while you help the push, please stop by.
