Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
Mostly what I have researched and taken college courses on in the last year. Did a research paper on ethanol, but am really interested in knowing more about wind energy. I am in the military, and plan on returning to Wisconsin to attend UWGB when I return next year. Major: Environmental Policy and Planning.
What excites you about this campaign?
1) The fact that a wealthy man such as Pickens is willing to put a lot of money on the line for an uncertain return on his investment. 2) That is an "event" that could forever (finally!) change the mindsets of the common family in the trenches that believe that "this isn't our problem".
What do you want to do to help?
I travel all over right now, so it's difficult for me to "organize" anything locally. I will however be forwarding this on to my friends, and am looking forward to doing more research on this website to see how I can bring my talent to the table.

Hi Tim, Good to see that there is someone else in the area that is interested in RE other then someone that wants me to hand them $20,000.00 for a dozen solar panels Plus.
I’m comfortable with RE systems but I’m new and frustrated with the financial obstacles. Michael
I totally fell into it - random aligning of the stars I guess. LOL. Have a sis who is Env major and always on us (with good reason) to think of Mother Earth. I was actually an Ad major from UW-Whitewater (late...) and after 2 yrs home with kids struck out on a career. Main job is consulting for utility electric coops; had a forward thinking mentor who branched out into wind and took me along for the ride. Been hooked ever since I saw my first turbine last summer. There are, and will be, so many companies jumping on this. Don't know what your military background is but it can always be tweaked to work for the environment..
If you need any guidance on where to concentrate your energy on, please let me know. I am still early in this movement, but so so energized (pun intended). This area is ripe for talent...
it closely paralells their electro-mechanical associates degree (4 classes different). the wind program is very new (not even state certified yet) so if you have difficulty finding details on LTC's site you can check out that program to get an idea.
