- Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
- I've lived in a rural environment most of my life. This has taught me to think of alternatives to being dependent on any one way of doing things. I commute some distance to work by car and gas is a major expenditure for me. I'll be buying either an all-electric or hybrid vehicle in the near future to that end. Basically, I'm a neophyte to this, but willing to do more.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- I've been reading about alternative energy and its future implications for some time now and things aren't very organized yet. This is the first really organized move I've seen at a national level to address this issue that could amount to something. Having fought for this country in the Mideast I've seen the effects of oil dependence and the uses of the money that results. Our dependence on foreign oil and the security implications it brings is the reason I'm signing on. Anything else is gravy!
- What do you want to do to help?
- I'm willing to spread the word and discuss the issues, especially with our elected officials. I'm new to this but I like the subject matter.
