Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:

I have no first-hand experience with any form of alternative energy. However, I am definitely a student of alternative energy. Educating myself on green energy and alternative energy has been a passion for 20 years. I track activities of the Rocky Mountain Institute, followed the ethanol boom, watch eestor developments, subscribe to various alternative energy feeds, etc. I consume everything about alternative energy and energy independence voraciously.

What excites you about this campaign?

The grassroots nature of the undertaking; the urgent need for change, including a short- and long-term policy to bring about change; the empowerment that the initiative provides to normal persons such as myself; a means to discharge an overwhelming sense of responsibility; a sense of being involved in a very important effort; and the knowledge that, in numbers, we will be heard.

What do you want to do to help?

Research, write, speak, and generally spread the good word. However I can help, I will (time permitting).

Medford area Pickens Planners are welcome to attend a town gathering. This unique chance to experience a NEV vehicle will start with a 15-minute video, "Journey to the ZONE". Be prepared to ask questions and get involved in the gathering with both a Columbia MEGA NEV produced in Reedsburg, Wisconsin and a Honda Civic GX CNG produced in East Liberty, Ohio .
