I noticed your comment in response to the question "What do you want to do to help?" Well, I need you!!! Would you be willing to attend a one hour meeting with Everett Woodel, Deputy District Director, Ohio Fifth Congressional District, October 5, 2009 at 11 am in Representative Latta's Bowling Green office? We have a chance of getting Representative Latta to sign the Pickens Plan Pledge, but not unless Congressman Latta understands that there are active members of the plan in Ohio's Fifth Congressional District. Please let me know at your earliest convenience. We need voices from other communities besides Bowling Green and I couldn't think of a better person. Thank you, Timothy. Tim, right now I'm waiting on a response from Congressman Latta regarding a meeting with him. I have no assurance he will meet with us, but regardless, would you be willing to go with me to a meeting with him or one of his staff members in Bowling Green? In any meeting with Mr. Latta or his staff, I plan to show him the Pickens Plan Powerpoint presentation. If you'd like we can do some door-to-door canvassing in your town for more members. Please let me know what you think of this idea as I'll have to contact your city officials to get permission unless you are comfortable doing so. If you're more comfortable writing letters to local papers, I can supply a good web site with drafts that you might modify and use. Thanks again, Timothy. I'm looking forward to working with you.

Recently, I was appointed as Ohio's 5th Congressional District Leader for the Pickens Plan. Like you, I have limited experience with alternative energy, but am energized by the Pickens Plan. Timothy, our group really needs you, so I'm urging you to join Ohio's 5th Congressional District and actively support this initiative. My plans include signing up more members by canvassing door-to-door in towns within our district, meeting with mayors and city councils, meeting with Congressman Latta and Senators Brown and Voinovich, and letters or editorials to local and regional newspapers. Please join us for both work and a fun time. Thanks so much.

The stars have aligned to create the possibility of a paradigm shift that is and has been urgently needed. We have an angry citizenry due to pain at the pump, a presidential election on the horizon, and a man with a plan to dramatically and imminently reduce our dependance on foreign oil, and provide a bridge to future solutions, who has the resources, contacts, knowledge, wealth and "will" to get it done.

Please share this plan with your circle of friends, family and associates. Urge them to JOIN. As you know, it is simply like signing a petition. With large numbers of supporters, we can put pressure to bear on Congress to incentivize alternative and renewable energies, and insure that our future president will be a leader that will push for domestic energy solutions. JFK once said. "in the next 10 years we will put a man on the moon". He got it done. We need that kind of leadership on energy.

Time is of the essence. If gas prices retreat the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost. How frightening to be looking back and apologizing to our children that we could not get this done when we had the chance.
