- Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
- I have thought about alternate energy systems since they talked about harnessing the Bay of Fundy's tidal power for energy in the 70's. I've bought stocks and invested in alternate energy companies before it was popular. I've kept a close eye on that sector of the construction business thinking there may be great opportunities out there.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- I like to know what people think. I get excited when I think about building infastructure that has an impact on our furture. I get excited when I see progressive thought followed by action and I've been waiting along time for America to act!
- What do you want to do to help?
- I'm not sure. I have lots of construction skills and experience that could be of use in the right situation. I have a talent for figuring out complex projects and implementing them. I desire for knowledge in the alternate energy field and am willing to share what I learn.

I'm just an ordinary guy working to get the U.S. out of a bind and help lead us to a more secure future.
Our district goals are:
a. new member recruitment
b. organizing existing members
c. getting letters to the editor placed in local papers
d. getting U.S. Senators/Reps (and other politicians) to sign the Pledge

I am one of a few in Massachusetts but want an organization here to build upon. I have sent out the message asking people to join the Plan but I have no names in Mass. I hope you can help. I have gotten some ideas from messages and hope to implement them. In the meantime I need help. I have sent emails to my Representatives and Obama and hope it will help.
I grew up on a small dairy farm here so know what needs to be done to save land and our earth.

After you've had a chance to settle in, please let me know if there's anything I can do to help. The basic first steps are reviewing the current topics in the Forum, and inviting others to the website when you're comfortable. The people here want to do something to foster energy independence and those you invite will find that joining us is the right thing to do.
Here are further steps you might consider, some of which you may have already done.
- Sign up to lead or volunteer on the Local District page.
- Visit your My Energy page and get involved.
- Get involved with others in your City or State.
- Find and connect with a like-minded Group.
- Start or join a Campus/Alumni group at PickensU.
- Work your contacts to increase press coverage.
- Write to congressional representatives directly.
- Use Pickens Action buttons or call (202) 225-3121.
- Speak out for ending our dependence on foreign oil.
- Write letters to the editor of your local paper.
- Download flyers/etc from here or here.
- Download the Petition and ask others to sign it.
- Start a company to build wind turbines/solar panels.
- Start a financing firm to invest in those companies.
- Tell everyone you know about PickensPlan.com.
Decide for yourself what you can do, but definitely do something.

We are a voluntary community of individuals who are placing our combined support behind T. Boone Pickens and his efforts to send our government a clear (heard) message that we must reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil through the use of all domestic energy alternatives. This site is a place to interact with fellow Pickens Plan supporters, keep up with events and opportunities to help get more involvement.
For those of you that have already jumped in and have made contact with your local leader- thanks.
Please, I ask the first sites you visit to get accurate info and articles to see pretty much what the plan is about and where the plan stands, and please come back to these sites often as changes take place regularily. Some are long, please; take the time to get all the details.

Mr. Obama has voiced that eliminating the dependence of foreign oil is a top priority.
[Click here], to enter your zip code and be paired up with members in your area. If you want to be a leader for your area, you can also sign up on that page. If you would rather wait on a leader role, that’s ok we need helpers. An organization cannot be all chiefs.
There is a group for almost everything. The Forums/discussions on this site are many and you’ll probably find something that interests or concerns you. Some are very long and were started months ago. For the ones that concern you, please keep in mind, events are remembered and relayed differently by those commenting, which as we all too well know equals at least three sides to the event.
After you have read the sites I mentioned, if you need anything else to help you, while you help the push, please stop by. I am proud to put my efforts towards this cause.

Time is of the essence. In only 2 weeks, the new Congress will be sworn in. There will be many lobbyists and special interests that will try to derail this effort for their own agenda.... only the threat of political suicide will keep Congress focused on the job of getting us to independance from foreign oil! The only way to do this is with sheer numbers!

PICKENS U We are recruiting "Campus Coordinators" for colleges and universities to represent the Pickens Plan on campus. We are looking for someone who can create a college page on the Pickens Plan site and also on Facebook encouraging folks to sign up for the Pickens Plan.
