Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I've been thinking about this for a while. I have a short paper on my web site, showing some ideas about the Gulf of Mexico. I've added and revised my ideas since then. The address is: http://www.tahanson.com:84 http://www.tahanson.com:84/
What excites you about this campaign?
GM is about to build the Cruze at Lordstown. Wouldn't it be great if you could reach them in time, so they build the vehicles to run on natural gas, as you are recommending.
What do you want to do to help?
I would like to work with others to develop concepts for a complete renewable energy cycle: seawater to wind plant to make hydrogen to inland power plant to make pure water and back to sea for next load. Trucks powered by hydrogen. income from power sold and pure water sold.

Thank you for writing. I appreciate hearing your ideas and agree that we need a new approach to energy that increases our national security and creates jobs.
Dependence on foreign sources of oil is a vulnerability that compromises our economic potential and jeopardizes our national security. We can and must become energy self-reliant. I support pursuing this objective in a manner that maximizes job growth and capitalizes on Ohio’s many relevant assets, including a highly skilled workforce, an unrivaled manufacturing infrastructure, and a sophisticated, multi-modal transportation network.
Like you, I believe the Pickens Plan can serve as an effective catalyst to energy independence. Thank you again for sharing your support for his plan and for your advocacy on this pivotal issue.

Hey young man.
Read your open letter to Mr. P. You know he is 24/7 swamped.
I am would ask you copy it and mail it to PO Box 12123 Dallas Tx. 75225
Let me know how it goes.
I wouldn't think it is CBS's place to endorse the Pickens Plan but I felt more emphasis was being put on how the Picken Plans would benefit Mr. Pickens rather tham the US. We better do something and do it quickly. No one else has been doing anything but getting us deeper and deeper in an aweful position. The following segment on the show had a much softer tone. Mr. Pickens is getting lots of national attention on his own and didn't need 60 Minutes. I have heard how 60 Minutes uses or misuses their power as well.
You have a great idea. I would certainly be aboard and or wish the best. Not a note to derail your plan just one of the most critical elements to make any great idea a reallity....
Making any change occur requires the "creation" of demand. Not waiting for demand.
Creating demand requires actualy action steps, not simply marketing or vocal or political or retorical type steps.
Yes the cost then limits those who can make the push to just a few or a large group of wealthy willing to take the chance. Again, this is where the demand has to have been created or forced into excepting the product.
Sounds out there and maybe the language is missing but it's how markets shift and are created!
I know of a few ways to create both the demand and force the change without political involvement at all. But again, it would take a key element (financial leader) with an open capitalistic mind to make it happen. The result would be a very large group of CNG and/or HCNG vehicles on the road within 5 years... Yes 5 yrs. All paid for by the common middle class to lower middle class driver (without breaking their backbone)
Not a socialistic business either! But a very profitable business that may even be less suseptable to this coming recession/depression!
