Profile Information

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I have 433 acres that I wish to put windmills on in Center County PA. and I was hoping you can point me in the right direction. There is gas there, and I wish to reinvest the capital earned into winmills, but I'm afraid the taxes will kill it. I have a client that will buy the electricity generated by windmills, but there is huge red tape to proccess it. I’m in an excellent area without neighbors. If this campaign is indeed here to help with this, I’m in and I'll drag a ton of people with me. This idea is perfect! I saw my family use this land as a disposable property project with coal, and I have spent the last 11 years cleaning it up and struggling to hold on to it for the next generation. Now with your plan I see a chance to change it for the better with clean choices. Let’s roll!

What excites you about this campaign?
it is the right time now!
What do you want to do to help?
Showcase my project. We have to do a wind study that becomes proprietary information it should be made available to the people that need it. The windmills are high with repairs hell most break and dont make it 2 years before major repairs. Let get the collages students involved! I feel if the average Joe like me can do this then the change will be duplicated again an again hell I have my parents property with 1400 acres and my neighbor says he is interested with another 200 acres . That over 2000 acres ready to go! And we have good wind!

Tony,

The easiest way is to talk to your friends and family and have them to sign on to build our numbers. If you're comfortable enough with people, maybe we could get together and start a few local meetups throughout the district?

Thanks!

Thanks Tony!

Can I count on you for a petition? We need to help Boone get to 1.5 million for election day- we need all hands on deck! CAN YOU HELP?

Hi Tony

I have found that petitons are the best way to spread the word AND sign up supporters.

Here is HOW TO TURN THE PLEDGE INTO A PETITION!

I find it easiest to take one pledge, cut off Boone's lines under the pledge and add a sheet of lined paper under the pledge instead. I put NAME - ADDRESS - EMAIL across the top and fill in the first line to set the format. Most are more willing to sign where others have already done so, rather than the single pledge at a time approach. Everyone understands a petition.
I ask if they would "sign this petition in support of T, Boone Pickens energy plan to get us off of foreign oil?" Hand them the clipboard so they can read it. I do not require the signers to give me their email if they are reticent - don't let that be a deal breaker - some just do not want to give it.

Check out the 100CLUB group page to see how others have accomplished the task. (it is the first goup on my page) When you send/fax in 100, let me know, we will gladlyinvite you to be a member of the 100CLUB. Your leadership on this will inspire thousands!

There are over 150 people in the pledge challenge that I know of right now. Surely, there are many more that I am unaware of, as it is in many greetings. Those 150 willl bring 15,000 new members. If each brings just 5 friends, these 150 will be responsible for 75,000 new members.

This is the approach that works best for me - I tried many. Hopefully, this will encourage you to take the challenge, too. CAN YOU HELP?

When will we ever have a golden opportunity like this again?

BEST

Hello Tony, These new rooftop mount home wind turbine kits that I am building are great. The profile is pretty sleek and attractive. The system is actually a home appliance and doesn't really stand out much more than an antennae, chimney, or satellite dish. This makes a nice clean way for homeowners to get into the clean energy movement. The systems are inexpensive, easy to install and scaleable.

These systems have wind/solar built right in. The wind is stronger in the winter months, sun is stronger in the summer months, we designed a system that is attractively priced, that gives an even flow of energy year round. Wind power scales down in size to be perfectly feasible for a homeowner sized system to provide power for their home. Many customers have found it easy to become wind turbine customer/dealers. They are able to do this with no further investment and they see how easy people are to get interested.

I have used them to save money on my electricity costs and Tony, you could too. The systems pay for themselves in 5 to 10 years depending on your local wind resources, and they last for 25 or 30 years before needing a rebuild. Have a look at these windmaps and see can you pinpoint what number your area is in. 2 is OK and anything over 2 is very good. Let's double check your wind resources are good.

Hi Tony

Thanks for offering REAL help! Welcome.

Hope you can:
1. bring at least 5 friends and associates to the site
2. hit the red Contact Congress button to email your legislators and governors a request that they sign the pledge
3. get some pledges signed and faxed in to Boone. If you can get over 100 we would be proud to have you in the 100CLUB!

PLEASE see this video: http://push.pickensplan.com/video/video/show?id=2187034:Video:1249346 . It is very clear to even the "Gang of 20" pro alternative /renewable legislators that they will need significant and vocal support to "push back" the naysayers and give them a place to hang their "political hat" to support this plan. IT IS PURLEY POLITICAL. PERIOD. END OF STORY. Our success will be in our numbers!

Please get pledges signed and fax them in. We all meet so many people everyday, and they have not been counted yet. How badly do we want this? THEY ARE TELLING US THEY NEED HUGE numbers. Can we do it? ARE YOU IN?

Best
Kim

We must sign up millions to beat back the lobbyists and special interests!
When will we ever have an oportunity like this ever again? THANKS!

Hi Tony, it is kind of short notice for me to try to be there but I will send you request to our regional coordinator and maybe he can give you some pointers. My own thoughts would be just to go and soak it all in and learn as much as you can. Since you have a personal interest in getting wind turbines on your land this should be a perfect place for you to network with industry reps and find out what the process is and such. I agree that we don't want to overrun the event but it is fine to bring up the Pickens Plan with people who you are chatting wind energy with. :-)
