Official Pickens Plan Representative

Hello! I have joined with T. Boone Pickens in helping to generate support for the Pickens Plan. I have responsibility for helping to organize the New Energy Army in the great states of New Mexico, Colorado, Nebraska, and Kansas. My job is to provide members of the Army with resources, ideas and support in the pursuit of American Energy Independence. Please feel free to send me a message with any questions, comments or suggestions! Thank you so much for supporting the Pickens Plan and I look forward to working with you in the coming months to make America independent of foreign oil.

Best regards,

Torrey

Exploiting Wind Versus Coal (Stanford Univ.)

Much of the recent energy debate in the United States has focused on increasing coal use. However, the cost of wind energy is now less than that of coal. Shifting from coal to wind would address health, environmental, and energy

13th Governor Signs "Pickens Energy Independence Pledge"

Last week we got news that Idaho Governor Butch Otter has signed the Pickens Energy Independence Pledge.

That brings the number of sitting Governors who have signed the Pledge to 13. To prove one of Boone's points there are seven Republicans and six Democrats. Can’t get any closer to a tie than that when you have an odd number!

American Lung Association endorses the Pickens Plan

Yesterday afternoon, at a press conference in New York City, with Boone Pickens, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the President of the American Lung Association (ALA), Stephen Nolan, the ALA endorsed the Pickens Plan.

“The American Lung Association applauds Mr. Pickens’ goal of harnessing cleaner energy alternatives because cleaner energy will make our air healthier to breathe,” Nolan said. He also said the ALA is “enthusiastic about engaging in this effort to build further… Continue

People Digg Pickens

Boone was on The Daily Show last week and made quite an impression with Jon Stewart. So much so that he was ready to take his audience and follow him out the building! In case you missed it, you can check out the interview here.

Not surprisingly this video is a hit and has found itself on the popular Digg website!

If any of you have a Digg profile, I ask that you kindly… Continue
