The Industrial Solar Heater or The Solar Poultry House Heater raised the temperature inside a 550 foot poultry house 27 degrees in 5 hours. No moving parts, no fuel and zero emissions.
This unit can be used on any structure that receives direct sunlight. Need support and manufacturer with metal shop abilities. This unit in testing saved the poultry farmer 392 gallons of propane in two months.

Hi Tracy,
Chicken litter is perfect for methane generation! Google "Plug Flow Digestor" and you will see mostly cattle applications, but chicken litter works better due to the lower moisture content.

I just happen to be starting a new company located in Winston-Salem, NC that does consulting & system installations for farms. Check out my web site www.SunPwrSys.com and go to the farm section for an overview some of your options. Then call!

I'd love to check out your operation and help you make some money from your valuable resource: poop!

Hi Tracy. I saw your post about making methane gas to burn for fuel for your chickenhouse. This is the type of thing that really interests me. Go to journeytoforever.org, they have more than one page dedicated to making your own methane digester on the cheap. One of them uses a truck tire. I thought, why not scale it up with a combine or tractor tire. Then there is Jean Pains big compost pile that generates methane gas and hot water. Hot water that could be used in a heat exchanger, perhaps. Check it out! Bob Yokel

Saw your post about setting up your chicken operation . If you go methane production . That is very well engineered , and they were doing it in India 40 years ago . CNN just ran a story about a dairy farmer in California going this route. Since chicken manure is so hot your energy production will be good. It's the % of nitrogen in the manure that makes the methane. What comes out of your digesters will compete with the rising price fertilizers .

Engineer the houses themselves. I.E. insulate etc.
With the huge pig population in the Carolinas the system you're looking at is coming to North Carolina.

I'm not expert .... But I'll sure help you out all I can.
The best thing about it ... It cuts the smell way down.
