- I have been a long haul truck driver for the past 3 years. I am interested in alternative energy sources to make America more self sufficient. I use twitter to speak out on a variety of issues to pass along what I have learned into the trucking community.
When I first wrote on this website it was to introduce the idea that recreational vehicles are provided ample parking with shore power, yet commercial vehicles are not. All while new idle laws are being implemented in many states.
I am beginning to see shore power installed as as a viable option for trucking but this industry is very resistant to change and the information they get is controlled.
Bridging communication to folks who are resistant to new ideas has been my role by using my Twitter influence.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- That our Country can really pull together and make this happen. It's like watching the first Railroad be completed.
I'm interested in seeing our country change directions to become more self-sufficient, this will take hard work, hard choices and pulling our head out of the sand.
- What do you want to do to help?
- I often talk about the "Pickens Plan" on Twitter & I am mentioning it on My Blog because many people have not heard about it at all.
I Share Ideas, and one I have of my own for a Stationary Unit.
I recently came in contact with a man who created a Solar APU that can be converted to Wind Energy for Truck Temperature Control.
There are so many great ideas and great minds that have been untapped to solve our energy issues.
I have the ability to reach out to people and introduce them to what I have learned using my social media presence. I am concerned about the Fracking Issue though.

Taking Action and Spreading the Word
People are listening and waking up for the first time in so many years.
In the 80's and 90's I worried about our youth, who would one day be caring for me in my Golden Years and how disconnected with reality they seemed to be.

Looks like the much talked about stimulus package passed. Mr. Obama has voiced that eliminating the dependence of foreign oil is a top priority. Now is the time we hammer our elected officials to allow companies and the private sector to run with new tech and needed infrastruture changes; allowing grants & insentives to help us achieve the energy independance goal!!!
