- Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
- I have been researching alternative energy since I was in middle school. Coming from park city, going green means a lot and finding an alternative energy is even more important. I have also heard about the benefits of biobutanol which is made from biomass and also can be made from a certain type of algea and solar power. This fuel mixs with gasoline better and can be used on a vehicle without modifications! Why haven't we looked into it? There are fields of algea on the shores of our oceans and there is plenty of sunlight...and what about biomass?...enough to provide us with a fuel that is less corrosive than ethanol. Wind is very important as well. I remember my physics teacher in high school petitioning to place a wind farm on school grounds for educational purposes. This was years ago. Lets act now! And how profitable can alternative energy be? Absolutely brilliant way to bring money back home and better practices too.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- Finally someone who has the ability to make an even bigger deal about our dependency situation. Someone who can bring light on our necessity to call for and take ACTION. I am very glad to see a push for change from all parts of the country, and what a perfect way to start by bringing back money home to save our economy and help diminish our mark on the world in a negative way. Just Beautiful.

- Whatever I can, bring awareness to the alternatives and create action.

Contact and "Friend" the New Energy Army Regional Leader for your state. You can find them to the right, in the Featured Memberssection. Let him/her know that I sent you there and you are interested in becoming an organizer.

THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.
PICKENS U We are recruiting "Campus Coordinators" for colleges and universities to represent the Pickens Plan on campus. Looking for someone who can create a college page on the Pickens Plan site and also on Facebook encouraging folks to sign up for the Pickens Plan.
If you are connected to a college or university in your state, can be a campus coordinator, or can help find a campus coordinater, please let me know so we can get the process rolling.
PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not
1) increase our membership nor
2) influence public policy.
If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.
