The Pickens plan is simple and do able. At current gas prices we
spend over 400 billion a year (that we borrow from China) on foreign oil.
(when it was higher, the number was 700 billion, it will be there again
soon enough)
Picken's plan is to:
1. Use American technology and renewable solutions for electricity.
Wind, solar, geothermal, hydro, etc.
2. Use CNG (natural gas) for transportation fuel, especially
trucks, buses and municipal vehicles- almost 40% of our needs as a
country. Batteries currently can not move 18 wheelers. CNG is cleaner and
less expensive than foreign oil, and it is ours!
3. Boone is an "all of the above" guy, as long as it is an American
solution, and the money stays in this country.

I am working with a national effort to gather millions of
supporters to insure that Congress supports our efforts to finally get
this country to be energy independant. Brazil has done it....why can't
we? Cheap oil has gotten us here, but we must finally end it. Our economy
and national security depend upon it.

We could become net exporters of renewable energies and ride this
horse out of the economic trough we are in. We have a very limited time to
make this work. Call it a perfect storm, organized by a titan of
commerce who is leading this historical effort to make sure we get this
right.

I hope you will make the calls to the representatives in DC and post a note that you did so on RI-01 and RI-02. WE NEED LEADERSHIP ON THIS!

We are planing a RI Forum on the Pickens Plan for Sometime in February or March depending on Senator WhiteHouse's an Mayor Cicillene's Schedules.
Hopefully You can attend.
People who have interest in Alternative Energy such as Geo thermal, Green roofs should be at the forum. We need to get someone from National Grid

I am so frustrated. I am getting no help from anyone in RI. Where are all the people that want to change this country.?

All I am asking for is a few petitions to be signed. Our forefathers had it a whole lot more difficult, yet this is just as critical.

Our new Congress is sworn in less than 10 days from now - they must know that we demand their action to reduce our dependance on foreign oil! The threat of political suicide if they don't is the language of action.

WE CAN DO THIS. We need your help. THERE IS NO INFLUENCE WITHOUT NUMBERS!

Glad to have you here.

I am a lifelong Rhode Islander. I am working with the Pickens Plan folks to help with the "Pickens U" - college campaign. Do you know of someone in Rhode Island, at one of the colleges or universities here, that would want to get involved with supporting the Pickens Plan, and help us get off foreign oil, and on to American alternative and renewable energy sources! Now more than ever most folks realize the urgency of keeping that 700 billion a year here in our economy!

We have direct support from the top. This would be outstanding on a resume and be very fulfilling work for the right person.

Need your help, buddy

After you get your friends to join the site, and send your letters off to Congress....I hope you will work to join the "100CLUB"... for members that have faxed in 100 or more signed pledges.

PLEDGES are the vehicle that can drive our numbers, we need to use them! It is a very easy ask- Boone has done the hard work. All we need to do is hitch our wagon to his horse and plow to the finish. I have sent in 300+ so far. We have 48 friends, that I know of, who are working on the challenge. By the end of the week that will be 5,000 new supporters of this plan- 4 times the number that joined the plan online this week.... with just 49 people!

IMAGINE what we could do if everyone that said they would do
anything they could to get this done, joined the "100CLUB"
It comes down to.... DO WE HAVE THE FORTITUDE? I hope so. We aren't asking folks to take up arms. But this IS our revolution. And we have a very small window to get it done. Would like your help.
