Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
My first experience with alternative energy was a Grade 8 science project on solar power. (14 yrs ago) Unfortunately this technology, has not progressed to where I thought it might be today. So far it has only been a dream. I cannot afford to put solar panels on my roof, a wind mill in my yard, buy an electric vehicle. If I could I would. My own vision for my future and my childrens future is eventually do these things and get off the grid.
I do recycle everything possible, compost all organic waste and store rain water. I have high efficiency everything in my home. I purchased a smaller home in order to reduce my carbon footprint.
What excites you about this campaign?
I applaud Mr. Pickens. A man with a vision. I have been talking about this ever since I did a science project in Grade 8 on solar power (14 yrs ago) I firmly believe that by harnessing renewable energy, perfecting its efficiency and giving it to the people will be a legacy that will define us as the generation that saved the planet in the centuries to follow.
What do you want to do to help?
What is it that you need a person like me to do? If I could do something to further this cause, count me in.

Virgil,
TRANSPORTATION is the master key to basic survival, and the cornerstone of the economy. We all know that transportation presently depends on oil production, and oil production is peaking. We must focus first on transportation – it is the highest priority.
The PickensPlan to transition vehicles to natural gas is a great start toward 100% energy independence, but is a stop-gap measure till we can transition to all electric transportation. Electric energy is strained without adding transportation demands; so we must drastically improve efficiency .
Evacuated Tube Transport (ETT) is a patented technology where travel occurs without air friction or rolling resistance (like “Space Travel on Earth”); ETT can accomplish 50 times more transportation per kWh (or carbon credit) than electric cars or trains. ETT is silent, low cost, safe, faster than jets, and is electric so it can make maximum use of wind or PV power. I invite you to visit my page to learn more about ETT

Sure would be nice to see Canada get renewable via a Federal Government program Nationally.
