Anita Adams said… - Unfortunately, I think it is about the money. TBP reportedly took a billion hit on his bottom line (whatever that means) with this economic downturn. He has his own focus, which I think is working with government. I think government (federal, state local) is going to be too busy or distracted to any work on turning this country around. I rolled by the Pampa offramp on 1-40 over the holidays. I personally wish he'd put up a sign at the offramp, saying "Future Home of Pickens Windfarm--join PP" At least that would be something. anita

I have been following PP for some time. Also I have kept up with activity in the groups.
Now that the "porkulus" bill has passed, TBP will get his lions share as we always new he would. The people that were drawn together in this common interest lost out.
My hopes for the good people that did join together is that through all the discusions, ideas and connections made, perhaps somene can benefit.
The Pickens Plan has already become a Ghost Town as a commuity.

Yes, we do have a great amount of wind here on the coast of Maine but we do have to prove it to our potential investors. Right now, the data is being sent to our Analysis team in Washington D.C. that is putting together an Initial feasibility study and building a model of what type of turbines that will most fit coastal Maine's environment.

- Merry Christmas! Thanks for getting that out there for us, I am already starting to notice volume coming from Wind4me.com. We need all the help me can get. We really appreciate it. Thanks. We purchased the anemometer from NRG Systems in Vermont. The anemometer is a 60 meter tower kit. The cost of the kit was $13,8??.00 The total cost to erect it and the anemometer kit was around $15,000.00

- btw, there will always be temporary slowdowns with any project. However trust the energy crunch is on many minds... Speak with people in your community, get them inspired to join us here. It's critical to get support behind Obama before the first 100 days. Obama has pledged to Pickens he will work towards 100% elimination of our reliance on foreign oil within 10 years! This is a powerful inspired team, they need our support!

Bealer Caudill said… - I tried to tell my elected officials about going slow with ethenol, but it fell on deff ears. They are trying to please everuone. As far as wind power now is the time to push for it. It will create jobs and reduce polution, among other things.If we don't go while we are excited it will fade away like the 70s when we had toe so called oil shortage. I am not to concerned with Pickins, but we need to start something and get rolling, with or without the government.Maybe co-ops around the country. We have to overcome the fact that some countied don't allow towers.This is a major problem.
