As an electrical engineer I like to talk numbers. Here is a link to prices: www.solarbuzz.com/ModulePrices.htm. With installation it will cost around $10 per watt. My air-conditioner unit is 230V x 30 amps = 6900 watts. It is the maximum, so let s...

Yosif,

Do you have your weight loads and such figured? If so, I am sure James would do an FEA or Any PE could run the FEA at a very reasonable charge.

Yosif,

I don't design the tower it'self, I design equipment used in the fabrication of the towers. I use AutoCad to design in 3D. When I need FEA's run, I have a PE on line and let him evaluate it for me, and I am not sure what program he uses.

What program did you do that layout on? I see it is 3D.

Yosif,

At this stage the planis just a wish!
I was trying to establish the principle behind such an undertaking, so folks realize the enormous task it is to go industrial with an idea.

To this point, I have folks "kind of" gathered , which have special skills such as yourself. There are folks that know turbines, folks that know controls, yourself with transmission knowlege and myself with tower design experience.

I have talked to folks willing to at least advise in sales, lobbying and other management catagories. What is missing is investment to bring ALL this knowlege together.

Perhaps tomorrow we could have an opportunity to discuss this in general terms. My cell still works (not for long).

Regardless, thanks for the response and offer to assist in my search for information and skilled folks to group around a common effort, whoever's idea or product or plan.

Yosif,

Welcome to several common groups.

I am glad to meet you. There is a real point of interest in your profile.

on my PP page and wesite, www.SDWE.org I have posted an outline of a collaboration Plan.

Within this plan there is a definate need for someone that knows the transmission aspects of getting a small community wind farm hooked up to the existing grid. I hope you don't mind sharing thoughts about that end of my plan.

Hi

Thanks for joining…now that you’ve taken the plunge here’s what you can do right now to help bump up the pledge numbers before Inauguration day. Download and print this NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED petition form:

http://media.pickensplan.com/downloads/PP/pollingsignupsheet.pdf

When speaking to friends, family and colleagues, either in person or on the phone, ask them if they agree with the objective of American Independence from foreign oil. Just slip it into the conversation between the corporate babble, recipe exchange or play date logistics.

When they say YES (no one says NO), tell them you’re going to include their name on a Pickens Plan Petition with their email, zip code and phone. NO ONE will call or bug them (except perhaps you) to join the organization or do anything further if they elect not to.

Fill out and FAX the petitions to the number on the form and you’re done. You will get credit for the sign ups toward the 100 club. It’s easy and fast and there’s NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED.

There are only a few days left until Inauguration day. Do it now!

Thanks,

Hi Yosif.......Welcome to the "Plan". If I could suggest one text to you, it would be the Solar Living Source Book by John Schaeffer. It is not only a good text, but it is a catalog of the best available solar, wind and hydro components on the market. They have a great website: www.realgoods.com
There are many good books on renewable energy and this text/catalog has an extensive list of the best books out there on all kinds of subjects pertaining to renewable energy........>>>>Lee
