- Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
- My company has for the last 25 years been a manufacturer of high tech radiant barrier reflective insulation used in the building industry. We also manufacture other types of insulation to include fireproof characteristics. This reflective insulation has improved insulation characteristics in homes and commercial buildings and lowered utility costs from 20 to 40 % for customers. Our company, Radiant Technology is headquartered in Dallas Texas. We also have distribution for these products in Elkhart Indiana through our other company, Engineered Bonded Structures and Composites Inc (EBSC). EBSC has developed a new Nano Green building material that will change the building industry completely. This new material technology has strength characteristics that surpass present wood materials and also is revocable. Along with these two companies we have just started a new company in Elkhart Indiana called Green Energy technology (GET). GET is in final negoitiations with BAF Technologies in Dallas Texas to become one of their installers of CNG engine systems. With Elkhart Indiana being one of the major manufacturing centers for the transit ,RV, and commercial vehicle business we feel our company can be a major asset to the clean energy campaign in the United States.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- Being at the center of one of the industrial building areas for transit and commercial vehicles we feel our participation can be a big benefit to the nation. We are in contact with the local Clean Cities Alliance group and they agree when we can start installing CNG systems it will be a big benefit to the area. Also there is a major need for a fueling station in this area for CNG. There is not a station for all of northern Indiana. We would like to approach the Clean Energy Fuels Corp for help in possibly installing a station for the Elkhart Indiana area.
- What do you want to do to help?
- We feel that when all the plans noted above are completed our participation will be a benefit to the area and will help in the overall plan to help America stasy ahead of the world in energy related technology.
