Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:: none and that is the point aside from our supply issues on oil dependence -the prices are killing us the electric co/gas and oil companies just keep raising prices and yet our salaries are not -i live near the shore and would gladly use wind/solar if we couls acress it or afford to change over

What excites you about this campaign?: to get all this done in conjunction with the president's idea and co operation time for talk is over

What do you want to do to help?: trying to get the word out and keep contacting our lawmakers reminding them who they work for

At 5:01am on January 30, 2009, Michael Shawn Kendall said…: Hi bernadette, Here is a tool for all of us to get RE projects started through a recommendation for a new program of US Treasury "Energy Independence Savings Bonds". Savings bonds are normally purchased in $25 increments. This gives a way for just about any American to tighten their belts just a bit by skipping a meal at McDonalds or Pizza Hut and buying a renewable energy, RE, savings bond to support a project and save money at the same time for themselves. The plan is to have a minimum of categories for S-Solar, W-Wind, C-COOP. A purchaser would get on the US Treasury web site and purchase one that is for a project that he/she would like to support via credit card or PAYPAL. A different tab would allow tracking of the projects and transparency in accounting as President Obama has promised we will have in his administration. I've faxed and emailed my representative in Congress already and have a copy of a FAX sent to Nancy Pelosi on my Pickens blog along with more details.
