Bob,
Are you the same Bob Bray that I served with in Viet Nam in 1969-70 with 1/46th-B infantry company near Cho Lai?? Your photo looks like the same red headed former lifeguard that I remembered. If so. call me(843-222-2585 or email to griggr707@aol.com) I had lunch today with Larry McMullen(former Sgt. in Viet Nam with us) and he asked about you, so I scanned Google and found your name.......
Thanks! Roger Grigg
I'm trying to send you a note, but for some strange reason I keep losing it. I hate this notebook! If you're getting partial notes, it's because I keep touching a deadly combination of my touch mouse and some key on the keyboard. Sorry about that.
Back to the nitty gritty:
In reference to your comment placed on Dan Burbank's Blog: Post Bailout Action, my husband and I both emailed our state reps and sen.'s. He also got on the phone. He spoke with one member of a rep's office staff. She informed him that thousands of people called in to voice their opposition against the bailout. Two people called in to favor the bill. Those two callers were the CEO of an Arkansas bank and the chancellor of one of our state universities. Guess who won that battle?
Also, I think that it was a personal issue for our congressmen. They saw their own stocks plummeting so they did what they could to save their own fortunes.
Personally, I think that we're just putting off the inevitable. I think that we are headed for a natural downturn in the cycle. I think that the longer we put it off the harder we are going to fall when the final bubble bursts.
Stocks went back up today. It's a short-term success in my opinion. All of our reps and senators are up for reelction this time. Only one runs opposed by a candidate from a major political party. The others are running either upopposed or are opposed by a member of the Green Party. I'll be voting Green this year! It will certainly be the last term that a congressman from Arkansas runs unopposed even if I have to run myself!

Hi Bob
ARE YOU IN?
After you get your friends to join the site, and send your letters off to Congress....I hope you will work to join the "100CLUB"... for members that have faxed in 100 or more signed pledges.
PLEDGES are the vehicle that can drive our numbers, we need to use them! It is a very easy ask- Boone has done the hard work. All we need to do is hitch our wagon to his horse and plow to the finish. I have sent in 280 so far. I have 48 friends, that I know of, who are working on the challenge. By the end of the week that will be 5,000 new supporters of this plan- 4 times the number that joined the plan online this week.... with just 49 people!
IMAGINE what we could do if everyone that said they would do
anything they could to get this done, joined the "100CLUB"
It comes down to.... DO WE HAVE THE FORTITUDE? I hope so. We aren't asking folks to take up arms. But this IS our revolution. And we have a very small window to get it done. Would like your help.

Bob,
so they cut down a nice old oak. Old trees have acers of leaf surface area that absorbs carbon dioxide. If it was a snag, dying, then that is 20 tons of food and habitat for the creatures of the area. Then they used all that fuel. Unless it was a danger to property, I see no reason to take out an old tree.
Nice to meet you Megan... If there is anything I can help you with please ask. Welcome to the Pickens Plan Community.
Good News #1
A recent prediction by the American Solar Energy Society found that energy efficient businesses were responsible for the creation of nearly 8.5 million jobs in 2006, and by 2020 that number is expected to reach 30 million.
Good News #2
The US National Association of Home Builders announced that more than 1,000 builders and refurbishes have earned its Green Professional Certification since it was introduced February on this year.
This is phenomenal growth!
My skill sets are website development, graphic design and network marketing. Last Spring a small group of us launched a local city magazine that focuses on anything Green. We also launched a green campaign called “Kiss The Earth Green”, registered a few domain names and launched a website to manage the new traffic and database. The magazine and website have surpassed all of our expectations.
As an entrepreneur and home business professional, my plan is to help drive this new green industry forward and position myself for its expected phenomenal growth. Are you having success with something you want to share? I have a marketing system that will help sell or expose any product, service or idea you have. I also have an idea for the beginner who is looking to generate an extra income from home.
Bob,
sorry for the delayed response. Those are excellent arguments and I agree with them. I believe that you have a good grasp of the topic. I do believe that we have a lot to do to get to the electric economy, I just think that we should push the envelope and go straight there. But yours is probably more realistic assessment. I am just concerned about the cost of the soil as I have said in the past.
How do you feel about plasma fusion? I saw a little something about it on T.V. and was wondering how do-able it could be. And why does the gov get involved in biodiesel fuel? I was told it is illegal for commercial vehicles in Delaware to use it. How could this be?
today we dont have enough electric to run our ac units ,if one third of Americans went out and got an electric car they could not charge them with out crashing our grid.
E-85 lets do some cheese math.
say we got 100 years of crude oil left.Using 15% ethanol we have 115 years of gas left (i know its not right )
replace all the gov (non-emergency)cars with LP and would add several more years to that number.as well as cutting off all the oil we buy from people that dont like us anyway.
make me a battery and give me a reliable source of power and i am there.
