Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:: Majored in Bio-Physics with 2 years of institutional lipid research. Extensive individual research in Algae bio-fuel production.

What excites you about this campaign?: Hopefully, it will start to convince people that energy independence is not only possible, but it is economical, and possible to do within 5-10 years.

What do you want to do to help?: I would like to suggest more of a focus on the use of Algae derived bio fuels for transportation. Algae based diesel and gasoline can be utilized immediately without need for conversion of vehicles, and offer for the prospect of increased scalability without having to alter existing fuel infrastructure. These fuels are also 100% carbon neutral, make cleaner burning fuels, are of superior energy concentration to their petrol based counterparts, are far cheaper to produce than the current cost of petrol, and can be produced in any environment.

I believe Algae is the King of the bio-fuel technologies!

TRANSPORTATION is the master key to basic survival, and the cornerstone of the economy. We all know that transportation presently depends on oil production, and oil production is peaking. We must focus first on transportation – it is the highest priority. The PickensPlan to transition vehicles to natural gas is a great start toward 100% energy independence, but is a stop-gap measure till we can transition to all electric transportation. Electric energy is strained without adding transportation demands; so we must drastically improve efficiency .
