- I tried to develop my six acres as a green community a couple of years ago. The property is located ON the marsh overlooking the intracoastal waterway with nice westerly breezes in the summer and heavier western breezes in the winter. The banks didn't like the "green" idea, windmill idea, and the fact that I was a first time developer. Since then the economy has gone in the toilet and we as a country are being choked to death by the Arab nations and others. It needs to stop. Thank you T. Boone for bringing air power to the forefront. I have SEEN it work in my many stays in Denmark!!!!!!!

- This country needs to be united! Going green with both Windmills and Solar Energy is one way to do it. We as a country have lost our cohesiveness. China has demonstrated a unity that American citizens have lost.
Let's unite around a POSITIVE movement that will help reunite the citizens of the good ole' USA !

- Mr. Pickens. COME TO AMELIA Island. Look at my six acres (and another neighboring six acres)and make my property an example for the rest of the developers on this island.
Put a windmill up right next to my house! When Housing sales pickup, let's put GREEN Wind and Solar powered yet stylish homes up and be an example for ALL resort areas including those to come on this island. 904-556-6285 Or better yet, When we build the reasonably priced 'green' homes, the 'buyers will come.' Hello claire, These new rooftop mount home wind turbine kits that I am building are great. The profile is pretty sleek and attractive. The system is actually a home appliance and doesn't really stand out much more than an antennae, chimney, or satellite dish. This makes a nice clean way for homeowners to get into the clean energy movement. The systems are inexpensive, easy to install and scaleable.
These systems have wind/solar built right in. The wind is stronger in the winter months, sun is stronger in the summer months, we designed a system that is attractively priced, that gives an even flow of energy year round. Wind power scales down in size to be perfectly feasible for a homeowner sized system to provide power for their home. Many customers have found it easy to become wind turbine customer/dealers. They are able to do this with no further investment and they see how easy people are to get interested.
I have used them to save money on my electricity costs and claire, you could too. The systems pay for themselves in 5 to 10 years depending on your local wind resources, and they last for 25 or 30 years before needing a rebuild. Have a look at these windmaps and see can you pinpoint what number your area is in. 2 is OK and anything over 2 is very good. Let's double check your wind resources are good.

EMAIL A LETTER TO YOUR REPRESENTATIVES BY USING OUR EASY RED "CONTACT CONGRESS" BUTTON -This is urgent, because the Energy Bill in Congress is in danger of not passing! With little effort, we have the ability here for you to send a letter to our Representatives in Washington and Governor, too. Go to THE PLEDGE (at the very top of this page on the blue header) On the top of the pledge page there are three rectangular buttons- two blue ones and ONE RED BUTTON, that reads "CONTACT CONGRESS" . Fill in the short, standard form. Done!
(NOTE - To date, none of Florida's legislators including the Governor have signed the Pledge)
YOU CAN ALSO HELP BY BRINGING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN the site today, so that we can build a voice big enough that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who are trying to derail this historic effort.

Be a leader, be a part of the "100 CLUB", by faxing in 100 signed pledges. Let me know when you are done and I will add you to the list.

…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.
PICKENS U has been formed for college and university students to get involved. If you are or know of a student who would like to become an ambassador to helped coordinate the pledge drive please submit names to Pickens U site (found on the Main page). This would look good on a job resume.
PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy. If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.

Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, your area, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input. If you don't see a group that speaks to your interest, then start a group of your own.
