Jim Tobias and I are trying to get a Pickens group organized here in Hernando County. We are not having much luck finding a meeting place.

Does ANYBODY know of a place we can use to hold our meetings?

Preferably somewhat centrally located for Brooksville and Spring Hill areas, and fairly easy to find,but most of all FREE!

We are looking at probably late October for the first organizational meeting. Do not have any idea how large a crowd to figure on. There are currently 70-80 members on this site in Hernando County, and growing. We plan to publicize the event for a few weeks beforehand. So it's possible we could have a pretty good turnout. I think an evening meeting would be best, preferably a Tuesday or Thursday.

We appreciate any ideas or suggestions you might have!

It's about the economy--Did you know that we spend nearly 700Billion (That's a 'B') purchasing oil from foreign countries every year? And a large part of that goes to countries that are our enemies--people that have vowed to 'destroy us!' Imagine if a good portion of that was going into our own economy instead..............
It's about helping consumers save money on energy--Alternative energy sources will ultimately help to reduce and control prices on many forms of energy, from electricity to gasoline, and everything in between.
It's about JOBS--Developing and implementing alternative energy sources will provide employment for millions of people.
It's about 'green'--Alternative energy sources will reduce the 'carbon footprint,' in this country and help our environment.

We've been lied to, folks...........about many issues. Mr. Pickens has a PLAN! As I watch the national conventions, I hear a lot of political B*S*, see a lot partisan posturing, and in spite of what they say, NONE OF THEM ARE LOOKING OUT FOR US, OR HAVE A PLAN TO REALLY HELP AVERAGE JOE AMERICAN!!!!!!

I am writing to let you know that we are organizing a local
PickensPlan group in Hernando County.
