We are almost at the finish line on the NAT GAS ACT, but it is not a done deal yet. Hopefully all of our efforts will help make it law before the end of the year. We have the numbers to tie up all the phone lines in Washington!

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?: Yes

Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:: I have family members who are involved in developing cleaner fuels. More specifically turning garbage into clean coal.

What excites you about this campaign?: The opportunities it brings for great change in our society and how we use our natural resources. Also the potential for so many jobs that the Pickens Plan can create is very exciting.

What do you want to do to help?: Being involved in social media is one of my passions and helping others is a close second. It is my hope that I will be able to use my experience in both to help grow this community and bring more awareness to our cause.

William Kamkwamba and his Windmill

I came across this video today and thought it was just an amazing story. An impoverished 20 year old boy living in Malawi, taught himself how to make a windmill. Recognizing that wind was in abundance where he lived, William was able to construct windmills using materials available and brought running water and electricity to his village for the first time.

This is a truly remarkable and inspirational story. What are your thoughts? Continue
