Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:

I switched from gas to diesel 5 years and 350,000 miles ago.( vw 2002 tdi jetta).
Looking at converting from diesel to vegetable biodiesel . The problem I have with commercial biodiesel is the cost. It's priced at the same price as diesel, $4.95, as of 08/03/08. Vegetable oil is difficult to find because the good sources have contracted with big companies that have large tankers who swoop in and suck up everything. They filter the veg oil and return it to market in tanker loads only.

What excites you about this campaign?

The product is domestic and available now. I 've seen NG trucks work at Miami International Airport for 10 years. Miami-Dade County Aviation Dept. converted about 20 vehicles in the airport maintenance dept. They set up refueling stations in the truck parking spaces.

What do you want to do to help?

Personally, I am investigating how to convert my F-150 to CNG.
I am also looking into business opportunities converting fleets to CNG in South Florida. I don't have much extra time to offer to help but I can always try and make time.
