- I am cautious about the political bent of what I have heard and read so far. I would like to see America self reliant when it comes to energy. However, I do not feel we went to war in Iraq for the wrong reason. Further it is an afront to our soldiers and Commander in Chief to say so.This so called crisis is neither political or environmentasl, but the result of greed gone crazy and it exists on each side of the isle.
I will organize and support this great cause, the day you can convince me that it is not political fodder.

Go to Town Hall meetings... They get so overwhelmed with the thousands of people and issues demanding their attention. Makes you wonder how they ever really sisten to anyone...

Now that the elections are over and the anti-drill people are in power, I doubt much of anything will happen. Life happens one step at a time and the first step has to be drilling and Natural Gas pumps and conversions. The wind and sun are months away, perhaps even decades. Our financial woes in this country began long ago and climaxed just in time to elect the wrong person. We must stop sending our wealth to our enemies and Mr.Pickens and Mr. Bush could start today! Will they???

The clock is ticking. Both Thomas Freidman and The Gang of 20 have told us (see DAILY PICKENS) the only way to change America's energy policy is to build this historical, grass roots effort to un-ignorable heights. There are less than 75 days until Inauguration Day. We must concentrate on the job at hand. CAN YOU GET 10 signed pledges faxed in asap? Many hands make light work.

From everything I have read PIckens is a Republican. However, this does not seem like a political issue to me. If we let 7 trillion
Americans go to our enemies, we will be on the abdication side of the leaders of the free world. Care to know how our world will look if iran is the new king of the hill. We need a leader with the guts to say we will stop this now. ... and put all our enegies, brains and efforts into solving it. When Americans are pushed we rise. Now is the time before it is too late.

FYI I am a lifelong republican and abhor any bashing.
However, I also abhor the thought of trillions of American $'s leaving our country.

PLEASE email the Pickens Plan video to everyone you know. Ask them to join. Ask them to pass it along. Time is of the essence. If every member had 10 friends join today, we could put the number of members over 1 million very quickly!
Our leaders can not ignore millions of members of the Pickens Plan. One person can make a difference.
