Alternative fuels such as natural gas and propane have been around for decades now so I'm not sure how much more slowly these ideas can be introduced. Some of the problems with convincing businesses (and people) to switch have already been covered i…

There is no single answer. Not wind, not solar. At the present time none of these most mentioned green energy sources can provide 100% of the power that America demands. It is not just a question of capacity either. Solar and wind are both intermitt…

The extra expense is in the drilling of the well not in the price of the gas produced. Most shale wells go down 9,000 feet or more, well below the water table. Natural gas does produce CO2 but much less than other fossil fuels and none of the othe…

It's worth it if you have a readily accessible source of low-priced CNG and you use enough to fuel to have a reasonable payback. The modification cost is $5000 - $9000 per vehicle and the operating costs depend upon the fuel prices you negotiate. Th…

Profile Information

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I have done independent research in making the production of H2 from water by electrolysis more efficient.
Here is a website I did a long time ago which summarizes what I was doing then:

http://www.geocities.com/mj_17870/

There is more that I need to get written up but I have been too busy..
I have done quite a bit of writing on the web supporting hydrogen energy.
Here are two websites I write on:

http://enki.tblog.com/

http://blogcritics.org/writer/mike_johnston

Or, here is a feed from Daily Life which will give you all the stuff I write:

http://labs.daylife.com/journalist/mike_johnston

I wrote an explanation of the steam reforming/partial oxidation process that a rep from an oil services company called the best and most understandable she had ever seen.
Alternative energy and especially hydrogen energy have been a passion of mine for many years now and I would LOVE to be more involved in promoting it and in educating people on it.

If anyone needs to contact me outside this site you can;

email me at enki09@gmail.com
message me on yahoo at mj_17870
follow me on twitter http://twitter.com/enki09
be my friend on myspace http://www.myspace.com/enki09
What excites you about this campaign?
The opportunity to help create REAL results rather than just more dry theory and debate.
What do you want to do to help?
I am working to promote the Pickens Plan and am starting a green energy business of my own in Pennsylvania. I am already in the process of negotiating distributorships with equipment manufacturers.

Is Pennsylvania Missing The Ball On CNG Fuel?

Surge in Natural Gas Has Utah Driving Cheaply

According to a recent story in The New York Times people in Utah have embraced their supply of natural gas as a vehicle fuel and are filling up on CNG for as little as .87 a gallon (as of last fall). Where is our state at in relation to this?

Pennsylvania is a prime example of states who are missing the ball on CNG. We have huge deposits of natural gas within our borders and in a short time we could have municipal fleets and local/regional t… Continue

Why Fossil Fuel Companies Fear Wind Power

ER has a predisposition towards fossil energy. Its president is Thomas J. Pyle, a former oil industry lobbyist. Its federal affairs director is Kevin Kennedy, whose resume includes stints as Congressman Don Young's legislative assistant and as a staffer for the lobbying group Arctic Power, which pines for the day when the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge's wild coastal plain becomes an oilfield.

So, it came as no surprise when the IER recently released a couple of studies intended to impeach the… Continue

Hart – Alternative Fuels Service Predicts Dramatic CNG and LPG Growth

HOUSTON, TEXAS (Sept 28, 2009) – Use of compressed natural gas (CNG), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and hybrid vehicles will grow dramatically worldwide, more than doubling their use in the next decade in helping address the issues of climate change and energy security, according to the International Fuel Quality Center (IFQC). To address the increasing issues developing around alternative fuels and the vehicles that run on them, IFQC has launched the Alternative Fuels Service (AFS).

"Shale gas is the most important energy development since the discovery of oil"

In recent years, natural gas producers in the United States have struggled, mostly in vain, to be taken more seriously in the energy world. Big oil companies like Exxon had concluded that natural gas reserves in the United States were not sufficiently abundant to warrant big investments in exploration and drilling. When small independent gas producers argued otherwise, they were often ridiculed.

"I once had to tell the Exxon people in front of a congressional committee that I respectfully disag… Continue

Harvest Time

Every seed takes time to germinate.
So too in the fields of the soul.
We must never give up and sow
because the results do not
immediate to our eyes.
Let us wait with patience.
In the right moment, the seeds
have driven in the soil of hearts,
there will produce mature fruit.
Understanding and sow Joy, Peace and
Courage, Forgiveness and Love.
Jesus bless you have a good nigh

Hi Mike,

As I mentioned below, our company, IMT, has been working on a very unique type of fuel reformer and purifier for the last 10 years which has gold as the active compund as opposed to platinum or other heavy metals.

I read your article recently and i thought that you might be able to assist us in trying to commercialise this product or helping us find interested parties or even just pointing us in the right direction as you are very active in this field.

I would really appreciate it if we could possibly get your email address to send you more detailed information on the product and what it can do.
Obviously it's quite difficult to do this through the website.

Thanking you in advance.

Hey young man;
Laurence stopped by my page and posed this question.

Thank you for the welcome.

I recently read an interesting article by Mike Johnston about Reformers.
Our company is situated in South Africa and Bulgaria and we are currently debeloping a unique type of fuel reformer that can be used for both ICE as well as Fuel Cells. It has some extremely unique characteristics.

We are looking for assistance in commercialising this reformer and i was hoping to try and get Mike's contact details as he may be able to point us in the right direction or possibly assist us.

i would appreciate it if you could help me.
Can you follow up if you like.
Best; Tom
