Welcome! We are a voluntary community of individuals who are placing our combined support behind T. Boone Pickens and his efforts to send our government a clear (heard) message that we must reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil through the use of all domestic energy alternatives. This site is a place to interact with fellow Pickens Plan supporters, keep up with events and opportunities to help get more involvement. .
We need to Push.PickensPlan.com – or “Push” as we like to call it.

Welcome to Pickens Plan.
Please help us build our numbers - our success in getting the U.S. off of foreign oil depends upon it. After you get at least five friends to join us here, I hope you can help with a petition - get 100 signatures and we would be honored to have you in the 100CLUB!
We need to reach as many Americans as we can in order to bring about a total paradigm shift of thought on energy in this country. CAN YOU HELP?
Pledges are our petition.... I find it easiest to take one downloaded pledge, cut off Boone's lines and replace them with a sheet of lined paper under the pledge instead. I put NAME - ADDRESS - EMAIL across the top and fill in the first line to set the format. Most find it easier to sign where others have already done so, rather than the single pledge at a time approach. Everyone understands a petition.
It is not difficult - Boone has done the hard work. A bit of time, a bit of effort and the willingness to go outside your comfort zone - ISN'T IT WORTH IT? Check out the 100CLUB group page to see how others have accomplished the task. (it is the first goup on my page, so you don't have to go looking for it)
This is the approach that works best for me - I tried many. Hopefully, this will encourage you to take the challenge, too. I was able to get 300+ in just 4 days. Hope you can help.

EMAIL A LETTER TO YOUR REPRESENTATIVES BY USING OUR EASY RED "CONTACT CONGRESS" BUTTON - - With little effort, we have the ability here for you to send a letter to our Representatives in Washington and Governor, too.
Go to THE PLEDGE (at the very top of this page on the blue header) On the top of the pledge page there are three rectangular buttons- two blue ones and ONE RED BUTTON, that reads "CONTACT CONGRESS" . Fill in the short, standard form. Done!
YOU CAN ALSO HELP BY BRINGING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN the site today, so that we can build a voice big enough that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who are trying to derail this historic effort.
YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE PLEDGE on the Main page. Print out 10 or more of them, get them signed and fax them back to Boone ASAP. This is how we build our numbers fast! Be a leader, be a part of the "100 CLUB", by faxing in 100 signed pledges. Let me know when you are done and I will see that you are added to the list.

On the upper right corner of Your Page, click on "States" to visit the Push Pickens Community for your state.
Contact and "Friend" the New Energy Army Regional Leader for your state. You can find them to the right, in the Featured Memberssection. Let him/her know that I sent you there and you are interested in becoming an organizer.
THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.
PICKENS U has been formed for college alumni and university students to get involved. If you are or know of a student who would like to become an ambassador to help coordinate the pledge drive, please submit names to Pickens U site (found on the Main page). This would look good on a job resume.
PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not
1) increase our membership nor
2) influence public policy.
If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.

Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, your area, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input. If you don't see a group that speaks to your interest, then start a group of your own.
