Profile Information

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I have been researching wind and solar for residential/farm use in the last couple of years and confirmed the technical, economic and spiritual advantages of reducing our use dirty carbon based fuels to cleaner fuels in the next 10-50 years.

I also firmly believe that America is capable of making this transformation much more quickly than forecasted when we collectively commit to taking control of our future rather than continue to suffer at the hands of the "big oil" and foreign interests and their greedy gluttonous actions.

I also have come to the conclusion as a 54 yo that it is my son's generation who will not only experience the consequences of transformation but all of you will also have to lead us old timers politically--we are too entrenched at the top levels of business/government/politicians to lead--so step up folks and show us the way!
What excites you about this campaign?
the American people are going to lead the politicians to the solution, especially younger Americans using the latest social networking tools to outflank the "Little Kings' trying to hold on to their lessening control of our country.
What do you want to do to help?
mobilize support on social networks, and anything else, just ask! I split my time between Seattle and my ranch in North Idaho. . But I am available to consult on using social media networks for marketing this cause. I feel local face time is important to create community among the more than 90,000 members already, and that technology should be used to allow "virtual" meetings using readily and "free" online meetings. If you would like to be kept informed of projects I am involved with please request to be my for at least 6 weeks between the end of July and middle of September. I hope to meet and greet many of you fofriend so we can keep you informed.

I am in D.C for the next six weeks and plan to get around the East Coast while there. I especially anticipate attending the D.C. PickensPlan.com rally in D.C. in early September! Let me know if you are having any get togethers.

To The Transformation!

Why T. Boone Pickens is right when he says this is a NATIONAL EMERGENCY OF NATIONAL SECURITY IMPORTANCE!

America stands at the edge of a chasm as deep or deeper than the one she faced in the 1930's. Our financial system is in tatters, the Fed is printing money in a desperate attempt to stop the rout in all of our major financial institutions, consumer demand for goods is dropping rapidly as Americans attempt to deal with Skyrocketing Energy prices. The U.S. dollar is depreciating as fast as the FED prints it and Imported Oil is priced in dollars so not only do we get socked with deman… Continue

Congressional Vote on Extension of Tax Benefits for Alternative Energy Investments

It is my understanding that Congress will again take up the issue of the extension of expiring tax benefits for investments in alternative energy--I think they expire in the next year. In the last go around, I believe the democrats opposed the extension because the republicans rejected some conditions on oil producers etc.

ARE ANY OF YOU AS SICK OF THIS PARTISAN CRAP AS I AM!

I THINK THIS UPCOMING DEBATE IS AN EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY FOR OUR ARMY TO MAKE THEIR FIRST HUGE CONTRIBUTION TO THE PUBL… Continue

BLM Backs off Moratorium on New Solar Applications for Government Land

A dear friend sent me an email indicating that the BLM has apparently backed off their ill advised moratorium for new aplications for the use of BLM land for solar (and i believe) other alternative energy developments. Hopefully that is an indication what a small uproar can obtain when challenging idiotic decisions by government leaders (did they just notice that they might get more applications from alternative energy projects) in regards to maintaining the status quo. As my friend Todd likes t… Continue

Pickens Plan Scam--Regruntled.com maybe half baked would be a more appropriate name for this blog

I used to have a little more respect for computer nerds in general, this guy is lowering the average rating in his blog post.

http://www.regruntled.com/2008/07/11/pickens-plan-scam/

For a guy who can write code and make it work, his intellectual analysis seems pretty shallow on what T. Boone's plan is all about. He totally misses T. Boone's request for the Feds to expedite the development of this century's drastically needed superhighway system--upgrading our existing power transmission corrid… Continue

Can an Old Oil Man turn the US onto Windpower?

It seems like a redundant question, this weeks 200,000 plus visitors to www.pickensplan.com is pretty good proof that T. Boone has already made the biggest and fastest impression onto the American scene in regards to the potential for wind power, solar and CNG autos/trucks on making America energy free, especially with the younger social networking crowd--you think any other 80 year old American males added 2,500+ new friends on Facebook, myspace, linked-in etc. social networks in the last 3 day… Continue

I joined the Pickens Plan about a week ago and have spent some time today looking over the features of our website. I just wanted to introduce myself. I’m very excited about our community because I’m also a member of one.org (U2 – Bono – World Hunger) and have personally seen the results of people banning together and influencing our government. The Internet has made it possible. Please keep in touch. All the best, Luis Garcia…

We Are Mad As Hell and Not Going To Take It Anymore!

Ever notice how nobody pays any attention until you complain about something? e.g. "the squeaky wheel gets the oil." Well, people it's time to start complaining. Mr. Pickens has done an increditable job to stimulate interest to "cut the oil umbillical cord". Let's not let him down. Please take a few minutes to reread the attached US Constitution. http://www.consource.org/index.asp?sid=9&comid=289.
Connect the dots on Sections you have issues with. Select one or two you are passionate about and start emailing to every elected offical in your area. You can expect some flak from the local guys who will try to hide under the Blame Game Blanket. "That's a Fed problem. We can only direct sewer and pot holes repairs".
I don't think so. To be sworn in, they have to take an Oath. All 50 states have a similar words. Here is the California Oath.
Article IV, Section 4 of the United States Constitution reads as follows: "The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence."

Working on Jefferson’s theory that we need not to concern ourselves that good men could become bad men once obtaining the power their respective office conveyed upon them because they would be bound by the Constitution, it was decided that to bind the elected officials to the constitution, each elected official would swear an oath of allegiance to the Constitution. In the 1850 version of the California State Constitution the following oath was inserted at Article XI Section 3 –
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm, as the case may be) that I will support the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution of the State of California; and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of (name of office), according to the best of my ability."
All members of the legislature and all executive and judicial officers, except such inferior officers as exempted by law, were required to take and subscribe to this oath. The California Constitution, as have all Constitutions, has been amended several times over the years. However, the oath required to be taken by our elected officials remained in tact to ensure our elected representatives would be bound by the Constitutions.

Oh! Lord of Hosts," cried a voice among the crowd, "provide a Champion for thy people!"

The oath of office to be taken by all but a few public officers in West Virginia, from a city council member to the Governor of the State, is prescribed by the West Virginia Constitution. Article IV, Section 5 specifies the terms of the oath to be taken:
"Every person elected or appointed to any office, before proceeding to exercise the authority, or discharge the duties thereof, shall make oath or affirmation that he will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of this State, and that he will faithfully discharge the duties of his said office to the best of his skill and judgment; and no other oath, declaration, or test shall be required as a qualification, unless herein provided

We all rely totally on transportation-- the master key to basic survival, and the cornerstone of the economy. We do not depend on oil, we depend on transportation -- we cannot avoid the need for transportation it is a true dependency that will never go away. Unfortunately transportation presently depends on oil production, and oil production is peaking. We must focus first on transportation – it is the highest priority.
The PickensPlan to transition vehicles to natural gas is a great start toward 100% energy independence. ETT implementation will accelerate reaching the goal faster than any alternative fuel scheme. Evacuated Tube Transport (ETT)™ is patented transportation technology that can accomplish 50 times more transportation per kWh than electric cars or trains, it is cleaner, lower cost, safer, faster, and electric (so it can use Pickens wind power or PV to it's highest and best use). Greetings Jeffrey,
I will do as advised. I am a Professional Engineer with approximately 45 years under my belt. I have not retired and I work full time. I will provide information on the technical aspects, mechanical and thermodynamics. I will leave electrican engineers to provide information on electrical aspects.

All Picken Plan supporters MUST support the People's petition. It makes implementation of Picken's Plan easier and faster. When we get the elected officials work with us because we WANT them to they will stop bickering and horse trading and will get to the job that needs to be done.

Thanks

Alankar
