Profile Information

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I have always been interested in wind and solar energy since the mid 1970's when I was a teenager.

I've studied wind power and believe vertical wind mills might actually be a better type of windmill.

Also, solar energy if harnessed with better technology could reduce it's cost to be competitive with wind.
What excites you about this campaign?
First thing, there's acknowledgement that US has had an energy crisis since the mid 70's.

2) Hard #'s are presented for the Americian publice to see and absorb.

3) Using wind and solar energy must become a major part of our energy solution.

4) With Pickens being an oil man and saying wind/solar is needed tells Americans that big oil realizes the "gig" is up and Oil is not King. Time to recongize and find a new workable solution.
What do you want to do to help?
Currently created a web site: www.america-smart-car-guide.com to help Americans see the benefit/value of the smart car from Mercendes-Benz. which namely is a commuter car with good gas mileage.

I plan on creating other web sites that focus on high fuel effeciency vehicles. America needs to downsize their cars again and demand high MPG vehicles. Also alternate car fuels need to be introduced.

A Call to Begin the Remaking of America

A Call to Begin the Remaking of America

Hello to all Members of the Army:

I was very moved this past Tuesday when President Obama gave his motivating inaugural speech. He challenged America with these words:

"Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and begin again the work of remaking America"

I thought about how Boone at age 80 already started the Pickens Plan movement this past summer and the Army was almost 1.4 million strong and ready to take action.

How thi… Continue

Create Local Chapters and set up a chain of command for the Army

Hello Fellow Army Members,

I have had this idea for the Army for two weeks and would like to share it so the Army can become stronger and bigger in size in order to complete our mission of getting a new energy policy within the 1st 100 days of President Obama's term.

First, I see Boone doing a fantastic job getting to the public and VIP's spreading just how important the Pickens Plan is to our country.

Second, We have organized over 800 groups that have many excellent functions that they are… Continue

Haven't been able to get a response from the pickens team on an idea. Maybe you have some pull some where. Assuming the new wind farm is on hold, why not setup a fund to add a windmill to an existing wind farm ? I would contribute to it. My original reason for joining was to increase the use of wind energy.

I use to live in Id. Now live in Az. CD-3. Our congressman John Shadegg is the only Az. Cong.or Senator who has signed the Pickens Pledge. We need to get more people on board. i have signed up 14 new members while visiting my Dau. This is fertile territory. We need to get the word out. Have we contacted our Senators & Congressmen face to face?? If not we should that is the only way they know youn are serious. We showed Shadegg our 1500 members. That got his attention fast. You can do the same. It does take time and effort but you will succeed if you work at it.

Hello Jim, thanks for the valuable information. I visited the Obama link you provided and gained some important insight. I manage a portal called http//www.historyiscalling.org whose mission is to gather and promote the vision of change makers like you.

My question is how do I get you and the various organizers to post your individual visions so I can help promote the Pickens plan through vision video distribution?

Video marketing is what I do best and how I think I can be of service to this very timely initiative. if you visit the site you'll get a better picture of how I can help.

Thanks
Steve

Invitation to join the NW Renewable Energy Group
I have started a Regional group, welcoming comments, ideas, and suggestions for Renewable Energy in the NW Region. Including states from the Pacific, Cascade and Rocky Mountain areas. I realize that some of my Pickens Plan friends are outside this region, but you are always welcome to join and add your thoughts to the discussion. We should be looking at best available sources of energy in our region, and ways to improve the power grid to transfer energy from region to region as it is needed.

Jim & Robert & Others

I am setting up a temporary survey to better access where our strengths and weaknesses. I already have a web server, but I cannot use this server permanently. Before I send this out what questions do you want to ask? Could you please visit the link and give me your input.

http://www.jeremy4idaho.com/pickensplan_quick_survey.htm

I will be adding more questions over the week. I will verify with you both before I send the formal invitation out. I realize that you both or either may have already gathered similar info, but I would like updated information. I did not want to ask too much personal info for fear of scaring them off, so I just got their name (contact info) and general area where they live. Once I gather the info I will forward to you respectively.

Jim – Robert is our counterpart in WA-05. We though it might beneficial to combine resources since our two major population centers are only 20-30 min. drive from each other. Do you have a relationship with you Oregon neighbor? I am separated from our Montana counterpart due to geographical (Lookout Pass).

Robert – Jim is my co-chair for ID-01. ID-01 stretches from the top of our state to the bottom, bordering Washington & Oregon.

Everyone Else – Do any of my other Pickens Friends have any ideas to add?

Thank you, both
Jeremy

Hey Jim;

GOOGLE it or follow this link. It will blow your mind.

http://www.usgs.gov/newsroom/article.asp?ID=1911

The U. S. Geological Service issued a report in April ('08) that only scientists and oil men knew was coming, but man was it big. It was a revised report (hadn't been updated since '95) on how much oil was in this area of the western 2/3 of North Dakota ; western South Dakota ; and extreme eastern Montana .... check THIS out:

The Bakken is the largest domestic oil discovery since Alaska 's Prudhoe Bay , and has the potential to eliminate all American dependence on foreign oil. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimates it at 503 billion barrels. Even if just 10% of the oil is recoverable... at $107 a barrel, we're looking at a resource base worth more than $5.3 trillion.

'When I first briefed legislators on this, you could practically see their jaws hit the floor. They had no idea.' says Terry Johnson, the Montana Legislature's financial analyst.

'This sizable find is now the highest-producing onshore oil field found in the past 56 years.' reports, The Pittsburgh Post Gazette. It's a formation known as the Williston Basin , but is more commonly referred to as the 'Bakken.' And it stretches from Northern Montana, through North Dakota and into Canada . For years, U. S. oil exploration has been considered a dead end. Even the 'Big Oil' companies gave up searching for major oil wells decades ago. However, a recent technological breakthrough has opened up the Bakken's massive reserves... and we now have access of up to 500 billion barrels. And because this is light, sweet oil, those billions of barrels will cost Americans just $16 PER BARREL!

That's enough crude to fully fuel the American economy for 41 years straight.

2. And if THAT didn't throw you on the floor, then this next one should - because it's from TWO YEARS AGO!

U. S. Oil Discovery- Largest Reserve in the World!
Stansberry Report Online - 4/20/2006

Hidden 1,000 feet beneath the surface of the Rocky Mountains lies the largest untapped oil reserve in the world is more than 2 TRILLION barrels. On August 8, 2005 President Bush mandated its extraction.

They reported this stunning news: We have more oil inside our borders, than all the other proven reserves on earth.

Here are the official estimates:

- 8-times as much oil as Saudi Arabia
- 18-times as much oil as Iraq
- 21-times as much oil as Kuwait
- 22-times as much oil as Iran
- 500-times as much oil as Yemen

- and it's all right here in the Western United States .

HOW can this BE? HOW can we NOT BE extracting this? Because the environmentalists and others have blocked all efforts to help America become independent of foreign oil!

James Bartis, lead researcher with the study says we've got more oil in this very compact area than the entire Middle East—more than 2 TRILLION barrels untapped. That's more than all the proven oil reserves of crude oil in the world today, reports The Denver Post.

----
Don't think 'OPEC' will drop its price - even with this find? Think again! It's all about the competitive marketplace—it has to.
----
Got your attention/ire up yet? Hope so! Now, while you're thinking about it...and hopefully P.O'd, do this:

3. Pass this along…If you don't take a little time to do this, then you should stifle yourself the next time you want to complain about gas prices...because by doing NOTHING, you've forfeited your right to complain.
--------
Now I just wonder what would happen in this country if every one of you sent this to every one in your address book.
