Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
None personally, but I have been following wind power, electric cars/battery development, nuclear, and clean coal progress.
I have been calling senators and representatives about the need to get off oil and go domestic.
What excites you about this campaign?
It will help produce american jobs, reduce our trade deficit, and reduce our dependence on middle east oil and influence.
I hope your plan includes producing the wind turbines in the US to help reenergize our manufacturing sector.
What do you want to do to help?
Make phone calls, internet communication, and word of mouth.

Invitation to join the NW Renewable Energy Group
I have started a Regional group, welcoming comments, ideas, and suggestions for Renewable Energy in the NW Region. Including states from the Pacific, Cascade and Rocky Mountain areas. I realize that some of my Pickens Plan friends are outside this region, but you are always welcome to join and add your thoughts to the discussion. We should be looking at best available sources of energy in our region, and ways to improve the power grid to transfer energy from region to region as it is needed.
I haven't been to Floyd. Luis is from there by the way.
Yeah, that topic is still in one of my browser windows... I'm trying to keep up, but keeping falling back to 1/2 the comments read! That's why I haven't commented there recently (and don't even remember if I ever did).
Good to hear from you. Stay sane in this crazy world.
Thanks for thinking of me Jim. That looks like a great car. 50 mpg is really good. I'll have to check into it. He drives a Pontiac Grand Am that gets about 31 mpg with hypermiling. It is a 1997, so I doubt we would get much out of it, but it is worth looking into. The car I drive is a big old Buick. It gets more like 20 mpg. It is a 1992, so we really wouldn't get much out of it either.
Jim -
Just saw your email - tell me - I was gone for two days - we don't have - or at least I don't have anymore - the little mailbox & new friends icons - @ the top of my page - and I can't open the notice that says you've got # of friend requests - how did you email me? - if we don't have those features anymore? Or is my page just on the fritz?
Geesssss gone 48 hrs - and I don't know how to... Enlighten me please! 220 discussions! - geeessss
Love Ann Wedgworth (what a character) & Rip Torn - met them both years ago - Rip was doing a play, a cousin (Murray Schigal, playwright) of my husband’s wrote – titled: Flatulence - Rip was such a hoot in it - but for me to call them friends would indicate far too much. I’m just an “old” widowed character actress – still trying to make a living in theatre.
I'm truly glad you liked the video - use it as an attachment - lets get some more fresh blood - Got a gal friend (reporter) heading to Denver for the convention. I'll tell her to be on the look out for ya!
You, Jim, are a true American and I support your efforts. We have many opportunities here to not only declare our energy independence from foreign oil but to also boost our struggling economy back to its feet. Domestic, domestic and domestic. The American people have always been leaders in engineering and innovation but we need to say no to the outsourcing of manufacturing. I believe that any movement to encourage American made alterative energy products is a step in the right direction.
Jim - You may want to pass this information along to your group.
GE Manufacturers wind turbines in Greenville, SC and Pensacola, FL. While it is true that GE is a global corporation, they often use American made wind turbines for projects (it is much more cost effective to do this).
GE is the second most American turbine you can buy, falling behind Clipper Windpower's Liberty 2.5x turbine.
