- Had the idea and simple design of wind power in 1981. Lived by an active grist mill (tourist attraction) and didn't understand why generaters weren't connected.Utilization of roof piping and solar for heating hot water. Have additional idea for perpetual power.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- Both saving the planet, and ending our dependence on foreign oil. Bringing "alternative" energy(s) to the forefront of society. The way costs will be reduced, job creation, and the reduction of carbon emissions.
Homes can be retrofitted with their own electrical generating systems.
- What do you want to do to help?
- Educate the public on our import cost of oil , and the import dependence. Also, educate the public on "alternative" energy(s), and its immediate importance to society and wildlife. Letting the public know that jobs will be ceated, emissions will be reduced, electrical costs will come down, and turbine electrical generation is feasible for homes.

This month I bring you three very proud moments for everyone connected with Smith Electric Vehicles.
We have signed a collaboration agreement with Ford to deliver the first EV in Ford's aggressive new electrification strategy for North America and have established Smith Electric Vehicles US Corp to produce the vehicles in the USA.
Smith also unveiled a concept passenger car with Ford at the Geneva Auto Show, which caught the eye of one of America's most influential politicians.
On home soil, Lord Mandelson, the Business Secretary and a wholehearted supporter of the UK's low carbon vehicle industry, drove our Ampere van on a visit to Vigo Centre.
I read another article in the commercial vehicle press this week, stating that electric vehicles are "a decade away". The widespread use of electric cars may well be 10 years away, but major automotive companies, politicians and fleet operators on both sides of the Atlantic are waking up to the fact that electric vans and trucks are here and now.
