WELCOME WAGON BUS DRIVERS

FOR ALL WW DRIVERS (GREETERS)

As we add large numbers of new members, it becomes more difficult to individually welcome each one. Yet, It is very important work. Thank you for offering to drive the Welcome Wagon bus. We need to greet new members, show them around and give them a few actionable items. There are very helpful, passionate folks that want to know how to help, they deserve to know where to start at the moment when they are most willing to do so.

IT IS VERY INTERESTING TO READ THE PROFILES. Look to see what experience and passion folks bring to the table. If someone carries special talents, I take a bit of time to share with them the groups that could most benefit from their skill set and encourage them to share the benefit of their experience. I do read the profiles unless they are very long- then I just skim the lead lines. I always read the "How can you help", last line. It is humbling and inspiring to see hundreds of people offering to do "anything" and "everything" to help "spread the word".

FEEL FREE TO COPY MY WELCOME LETTER, or create your own. Please look for my most recent edition. Be careful not to copy anyone elses letter without their permission.

UNIQUE SITUATIONS:
If they are from another country I usually pass over. It is not frequent.

If they are using OUR site to try to sell something, (also rare, however, I do think this will increase over time) I politely, at first, ask them to not use the site for selfish pursuits, when we are trying to solve a problem of historical nature for our country. If they do not stop, I write to all of their freinds and ask them to help me show them that the site would be completely overrun with sales pitches if we did not refrain. We need to self police. It is disturbing to find a new member being greeted by someone hawking their whirligig. I know that it must be a turnoff for the new member as well.

If I see someone naked (once) or scantily clad, I politely ask them to change their profile, as they might gain unwanted attention. If they WANT that kind of attention, I ask them to please take it somewhere else, as we are conductiong serious business here. As nicely as I can, of course.

If I see political rant or folks asking who they should vote for, I politely share with them that we, and Boone, are staying non partisan to keep the focus on the American energy problem, If politics are a necessary conversation, it should be handled repsectfully. This will be increasingly important as we move toward the election. We must all be patient and vigilant on this.

Start at the newest member and work backwards. If you bump into someone doing the job, skip a few pages at a time until you find ungreeted members, and start again there. If you greet, please do every one. If you have extra time keep going backward, we want to try to reach everyone. Be careful to watch for dropping a few in between page turns. Go back and check that we didn't lose any in the "crease".

The goal is to engage as many folks as possible, answer questions or send them to the place to get their answers, as well as to encourage them to bring at least 5 new members on board. As many of you know, I am quite technologically challenged. If I can figure this out, anyone can.

Humblest thanks!

Forward Boone's request to all of your email contacts!

Take a minute and forward Boone's note this morning to all of your contacts. Add a simple message.

I sent mine this morning along with this brief request:

Good Afternoon!

I hope you will take a minute to send an automatic email to all of our Washington Representatives and Senators asking them to support this important legislation necessary to get us off of foreign oil. We must keep the money in this country. December - 19 billion, January -14 billion, February 13…

Virtual March thoughts and RI Forum recap

Thank you to those who attended the RI Forum. We received a front page article in the Providence Journal (RI's equivalent of the Boston Globe or NY Times) covering the event and Pickens Plan! This gave us better readership and exposure than any LTE I could write.

I would recommend this format for every DL. The Forum had 5 panelists, each gave a brief 10-12 minute presentation and opened the floor to questions. Dr. Earle Scharff, who did all of the planning for this event,… Continue

GREAT DAY! Need to push harder now

The summit was amazing. We have been waiting for that kind of talk for a long time. However, until we can give Harry Reid 60 votes on transmission, smart grids and renewables... it is all still talk. While Boone stirs things up from the center of the storm, we MUST kick up the dust on the perimeter. WE MUST BUILD OUR NUMBERS. The bigger we are, the harder it will be for any politician to find a pocket deep enough to hide in.

Please go to the virtual march page and manually… Continue

Hi Kim,

I'm ready to go to print and into schools with my Power Families series of three books about children who live on renewable energy farms.
I've launched an exciting, crowd fund-raising project to do this:  http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1642371480/the-power-families-clean-energy-kids-books-project .  In return for pledges people receive discounted copies of the books and other, unique, limited edition goodies.
Wired Magazine has just given me a great review: http://www.wired.com/geekdad/2011/04/celebrate-earth-day-with-the-power-families/  .
So far I've funded the series from my own pocket, and now the Kickstarter Project is my way to be able to get the renewable energy message to kids much quicker, and with a far greater reach, than I can otherwise.
Renewable energy is an exciting subject, fundamental to the power needs of us all.
Please support me to help get this important and exciting subject into schools and help spread the word!
Many thanks and all best wishes, Suse

Those are some nasty accusations that Mr. Davis, a.k.a. Jim Dean has been posting on my Pickens Plan Web Page. I decided to investigate the allegations from the Web as to who was telling the truth.

After reviewing the Fox video and the News Democrat reports, including the letter from the DA to the paper, who reports that Officer Epps is barred from being a witness because of his known reputation for lying... it does appear that Officer Epps was your initial accuser of the forged documents .. of allegedly adding words to a wrecking permit that purportedly could have misrepresented the truth to the Police Chief and the Clerk of the Court and that you could have benefitted by avoiding the application and by erecting a wind turbine without a $44.00 constuction permit that the State of Illinois wrote 'there were no State requirements' for the construction of the tower and wind turbine. Also, I reviewed the four misdemeanor tickets given for 'failure to display and building without a permit' during the period of being accused of the forgery. I wonder, 'how does one forge something that they fail to display'?

After reviewing the case, I also notice that the original offense dates of the four initial accusations of forgery were altered by the Judge in the second indictment which acts by the Statute of Illinois to bar the DA's charges and Judge Baricivic's findings of Probable Cause for the second time. I should hope that given these circumstances that the DA will review the case and ask the Judge to VOID it or at least vacate your probation.

I have reported these facts to the people doing research for a documentary of the situation and to the good people running HONOR IN OFFICE and their response was one word..... UNEXCUSEABLE !!!

UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA, SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING

" The question remains as to why this device has not been universally adopted? The only reason that I can determine is one outside of my area of expertise: Politics. I lack an understanding of the complicated interactions of utility companies, Public Service Commissions, and the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of government in this regard. In summary, the PLD has met all the criteria of engineering design and has been proven effective." Ronald McClendon, Ph. D.

Note: Dr. McClendon has taught courses in mechanical, electrical, aeorospace, and industrial engineering, as well as, engineering mechanics, artificial intelligence, and biological engineering at three major research universities. At the University of Georgia he has taught Microcontrollers and Utilization of Electric Power and Equipment. These courses are pertinet to the PLD concept.

Hi Kimberly!

Can you help us spread the word?

I've just started getting involved in a non-profit website (http://www.windturbines.net/) solely focused on wind turbines and how they can help. We've a social network for wind turbine enthusiasts and a directory where businesses connected in wind energy can post their business info and site.

If you have any advice on how to spread the word out about our site, it would be a great help.

Thanks!

Frances
