Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I travel alot so i use alot of fuel. My husband builds tanks for water and fuel. He was building alot of ethanol tanks at plants around the states but production has slowed down bcuz of the economy. I use gas with ethanol. i drive a dodge ram. I'd like to keep driving one we require a bigger vehicle for work purposes. I would trade it for something that took different fuel if it still had the towing capacity like a deisel but the deisel is so high now.
What excites you about this campaign?
The independence from foreign oil. and all the dirty hands and money in the stock market. also the jobs that this will create. I think it's the best idea i've heard through this whole presidential campagn.
What do you want to do to help?
what can i do?

There are many discussion groups on the Pickens Plan website covering a wide range of topics related to Alternative Energy and the Environment. I am the District Leader for the Spokane area (WA-05 group). We could use some active discussions and new ideas in our group. I am trying to promote Alternative Energy and job training programs to the Spokane County Commissioners and City of Spokane, to make sure that we have trained workers for the "Green Economy". We need programs covering everything from building windmills, to improving energy efficiency of public buildings, or converting diesels to run on liquid natural gas.

Come join us at: http://push.pickensplan.com/group/districtgroupwa05

Sincerely,

Robert Schultz

Not use a bank to avoid 1/2 of 1%???

Want to stop illegal immigrant labor? - No proper ID = no opening of a bank account = no getting hired if law mandates everyone has an account = go back to Mexico

We are headed toward a cashless society anyway with all debit or credit cards or checks -

And YES - the banks need to be supervised better to see they are investing monies prudently and not in loans to people who can't afford the house they bought. What has gone on in the banking sector and on Wall Street in the last 8 years under "W" Bush is a complete disgrace and there are a lot of "suits and white shirts and ties" that should be in jail, for a long time!

The object is to make every entity that the big boys own or control pay their faitr shara and disgrace them when they whine - your company can't afford to pay 1/2 of 1% of its receipts as a fiar share tax - the same as the man making $10/hour?

There are so many corporate loop-holes and this is how to eliminate them all in one fell swoop!

Morning!

Please help us get to 2 million this weekend!

Manually input the name, address and email of all the folks you know who support this plan on the form at:

http://action.pickensplan.com/site/c.hdKGIKNqEoG/b.4816589/k.7207/Volunteer_Login_Form/apps/ka/ct/contactus.asp?c=hdKGIKNqEoG&b=4816589&en=eoLDIPPyH8IAISMwH6LAIPMuFjLNKUOALeLJISMyFoKZH

WE CAN DO THIS.

Obama gave a terrific speech Friday from a wind turbine parts manufacturing facility in Ohio. Now is the time to keep up the pressure. We ARE changing the way everyone in this country looks at the energy crisis, and how it directly effects our economy, environment and national security.

Have a nice weekend. Hope you will help.

Best,
Kim

Welcome!
I am one of the welcome wagon crew. We are all volunteers. Out of sheer numbers I greet daily I have a paste and copy note.
It is not intended to overwhelm you, just give you a direction and some contacts. I do read every profile page.
We are a voluntary community of individuals who are placing our combined support behind T. Boone Pickens and his efforts to send our government a clear (heard) message that we must reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil through the use of all domestic energy alternatives. This site is a place to interact with fellow Pickens Plan supporters, keep up with events and opportunities to help get more involvement.
For those of you that have already jumped in and have made contact with your local leader- thanks.

*************Please, I ask the first sites you visit to get accurate info and articles to see pretty much what the plan is about and where the plan stands, and please come back to these sites often as changes take place regularly. Some are long, please; take the time to get all the details.
On the home page, click on About The Plan ~ Boone Cam ~ Blog - You’ll see the Pie-graph Mechanics.
Our future is focus 1- at this point in time! If not now, When? If not you, WHO?
Mr. Obama has voiced that eliminating the dependence of foreign oil is a top priority.
[Click here], to enter your zip code and be paired up with members in your area. If you want to be a leader for your area, you can also sign up on that page.
For our members in other countries [Click here ], to link to the International group.
If you would rather wait on a leader role, that’s ok we need helpers. An organization cannot be all chiefs.
There is a group for almost everything. The Forums/discussions on this site are many and you’ll probably find something that interests or concerns you. Some are very long and were started months ago. For the ones that concern you, please keep in mind, events are remembered and relayed differently by those commenting, which as we all too well know equals at least three sides to the event.
After you have read the sites I mentioned, if you need anything else to help you, while you help the push, please stop by. I am proud to put my efforts towards this cause.
Other fellow greeters will give you a more in depth list of things to do.
Again, Welcome; Tom

Hi Laurie,

Welcome. We appreciate you setting up an active account.

After you've had a chance to settle in, please let me know if there's anything I can do to help. The basic first steps are reviewing the current topics in the Forum, and inviting others to the website when you're comfortable. The people here want to do something to foster energy independence and those you invite will find that joining us is the right thing to do.

Here are further steps you might consider, some of which you may have already taken.

- Sign up to lead or volunteer on the Local District page.
- Visit your My Energy page and get involved.
- Get involved with others in your City or State.
- Find and connect with a like-minded Group.
- Start or join a Campus/Alumni group at PickensU.
- Work your contacts to increase press coverage.
- Write to congressional representatives directly.
- Use Pickens Action buttons or call (202) 225-3121.
- Speak out for ending our dependence on foreign oil.
- Write letters to the editor of your local paper.
- Download flyers/etc from here or here.
- Download the Petition and ask others to sign it.
- Start a company to build wind turbines/solar panels.
- Start a financing firm to invest in those companies.
- Tell everyone you know about PickensPlan.com.

Decide for yourself what you can do, but definitely do something.

FYI: Got a message for T. Boone? Contact your Regional Leader

Welcome once again and thanks for signing up.
Clynton
