Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
the only experience i have with alternative energy is helping to haul supples to the drill rigs looking for natural gas in prudhoe bay, we have tons of gas up here just waiting to be pumped from prudhoe bay , im praying for the gas pipe line to go through this is a step foward for the future, we do have wind farms up here for our remote villages that use to rely on generators, we still have oil up here too , i know ive been working in prudhoe since 1995 ive seenalot od christmass trees waiting to be tappd but the problem is we need the infrustusture to get to them, we can do this enviromewntly safe , there really strick with us working up there ,
What excites you about this campaign?
ilke the wind power and gas , i like nucler too for the long run the french has them there safe as long as we can reprossess the power planrs and makle them safe im for that.
What do you want to do to help?
right nowi will tell my friends for now, im going to prudhoe bay soon for the winter months so i wont be around

Hi MIchael!
Lower gas prices shouldn't be an excuse to stop conserving - we need to keep making renewable energy a priority.
Check out this blog and let me know what you think!

Hi Michael, thanks for getting back to me about Sarah Palin, always interesting to hear from people closer to the source. There really is so much crap flying in all directions, as is sadly typical every fours years. To be frank, I think Palin got kind of screwed by the McCain camp. I expect she's more than fine in Alaska, but she clearly hasn't been following international or even most national issues very closely for the last 10 years, so she's completely out of her element. I also suspect she's not used to shoveling other people's bs, and there's been a fair bit of that required too (like the question about Davis and Fannie). Of course she has to take responsibility for accepting the challenge, but I expect McCain people talked her up. I just don't think anyone can cram that much information that fast, so she was quite unprepared for a lot of questions. It's too bad they're using her as the attack dog lately, it's gotten pretty ugly. Still, if they lose, I'm sure she'll be fine back in Alaska.

Hi Michael, I saw in your comment about Ms. Palin getting "flak" from the media, but I really think it's a lot more than that. It made me wonder if you have watched the Gibson and Couric interviews (they're pretty easy to find, but I could dig up links if want). I have watched them, and I think she did very poorly. So I'm wondering if you saw them differently, or just haven't seen them. Must be pretty cool being from Wasilla these days! I hope you don't mind that I checked :-) I found a ref to an 89-year-old in Wasilla too, wow! I hope he's doing well also. Regards.

Thanks for writing back Michael! I think tide power has many promising opportunities. Since you are clearly pro-active in the need for more renewable energy resources, I'd love for you to take a look at this other new plan I’m involved with. It's a non-profit organization called We Can Power The World! I truly is an amazing foundation and their plan to power the entire world with renewable energy is actually do-able! So if you have an extra minute please take a moment a check out www.wecanpowertheworld.org
Let me know what you think!

Thanks!

Michael,

Welcome and THANK YOU for joining Pickens Plan. Here is how you can help.

EMAIL A LETTER TO YOUR REPRESENTATIVES BY USING OUR EASY RED "CONTACT CONGRESS" BUTTON -This is urgent, because the Energy Bill in Congress is in danger of not passing! With little effort, we have the ability here for you to send a letter to our Representatives in Washington and Governor, too. Go to THE PLEDGE (at the very top of this page on the blue header) On the top of the pledge page there are three rectangular buttons- two blue ones and ONE RED BUTTON, that reads "CONTACT CONGRESS" . Fill in the short, standard form. Done!

YOU CAN ALSO HELP BY BRINGING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN the site today, so that we can build a voice big enough that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who are trying to derail this historic effort.

YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE PLEDGE on the main page. Print out 10 or more of them, get them signed and fax them back to Boone ASAP. This is how we build our numbers fast! Be a leader, be a part of the "100 CLUB", by faxing in 100 signed pledges. Let me know when you are done and I will add you to the list.

THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.

FOR MORE INFORMATION
Check out Pickens "August Call to Action"- for a course of action! Here is an informative video "Topeka, Kansas Town Hall Meeting": http://www.pickensplan.com/news/2008/08/04/video-of-the-topeka-town...

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONSWe need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy. If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.

A GROUP FOR EVERYONE. Join the Guides and Materials for New Members Group. Lot's of good information there.
Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, your area, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input. If you don't see a group that speaks to your interest, then start a group of your own.

PLEASE FRIEND ME so we can keep in touch.

Thanks again for joining this historical effort. WE CAN DO THIS .
