thanks, im just saying that this kind of analogy might make sense to promote this..people want a battery car right now because they think it`s green.. they dont care if the city where its made is unihabitable they just want to be cool. i mean if you…
Mike,
Great question!
I don't know of any specific break downs on Nat Gas vs. Battery. But check out NGV America http://www.ngvc.org/ for all the details on Natural Gas vehicles you could ever want.

is there info anywhere on the total energy cost of a natural gas versus battery car? it seems to me that it is more efficient to use the energy producing substance directly in the car (as IN CNG) rather than using fuel to generate electricity then c…
Hi Mike and welcome to Pickens District OK-05! You are our 60th member! This group has grown unbelievably fast in the last 2 months and it's exciting to think about what we can all do together to impact Oklahoma City and our nation! We just got through with a big push to make calls to Congress about the economic stimulus package. As a voting district group, this is the most important (and easiest!) thing we can do. As we push for those calls we will always try to make sure you have the phone numbers, are informed and even will provide a short script if you need one. Some of the other projects being considered right now involve raising a little money, possibly to rent some Pickens space on a prominent billboard here in OKC. They include having bumper stickers and tee-shirts printed for our group member and others to purchase. Let me know if you're interested or have any questions! Hey, I love your pic with the pigeons! Again, welcome!

Merry Christmas mike,
This year I have helped so many members learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about power use, conservation, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my energy costs. Send me a friend request a to add me mike, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.
BTW, oklahoma: I just posted an article about Home Wind Systems in oklahoma. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "soft policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. You should read that article, important.

Hello mike, These new roof mounting residential wind turbine kits shipping now. They are sleek and attractive, well designed. These are actually a home appliance on the roof, much like an antennae or satellite dish. They are as easy to install as other home appliances, dishwasher, etc. It's a nice clean way for you to begin a personal energy plan. These systems are inexpensive, easy to install, scaleable.
These kits have wind/solar built right in. Since your wind is stronger in the winter months, sun is stronger in the summer months, this system combines and works with these cycles to give a more even flow of energy year round. Wind power scales down in size to be perfectly feasible for a homeowner sized system to provide power for their home. Many customers have found it easy to become customer/dealers of our kits. Customers can become a dealer with no further investment, they see quickly how people are easy to get interested.
I have used the same systems save money on my electricity costs and mike, you could too. In your area these systems pay for themselves in 5 to 7 years, your local wind resources are so good, and they last for 25 or 30 years before needing refurbished. Have a look at these windmaps and see can you pinpoint what number your area is in. 2 is OK and anything over 2 is very good. Let's double check your wind resources are good. Mike, You are welcome to do some organizing in OKC. I can't do that work I discovered, because the USPS believes that the Picken's Plan is trying to promote partisan or special efforts into legislation. I work for them, so I have to abide by their rules.
I do have some ideas though, and if you check out the Oklahomans for Energy Independence group you will find the majority of the group in OKC. I would love to attend a meeting, so if you have the means to get something started, I encourage you to do it ASAP.
This organization will grow very quickly once there are concrete efforts to build a working group. There is a lot Oklahoma City can do to change the efforts of the city and the state, but I just can't be campaigning for it actively. Good luck and check out the pages associated with that group. See my page too, since I am a solar energy advocate. Hope you get some interested people involved.
