I set up a discussion group about developing ideas. It is at;

I have found I am interested in getting an idea incubator started. People have ideas but not the means to get them to concept stage. I get ideas all the time, but have no way to get them into production. I think there needs to be a way for ordinary people to get their ideas validated to the concept stage where a market study can be done. As I see it, there are two hurdles to leap, first to establish the idea will work and the second is to demonstrate there is a need for a product that does what this product does. With these two things, investors can be attracted and production started.

What you said in another post is one idea. Get donations from people who like this idea and set up a think tank to review and perhaps help "inventors" get from idea stage to a working concept.

What do you think? Is this something that could fit within the Pickens Plan?

Don't forget about bio-gas (methane) produced from rotting vegetation. I'm hoping that someone will build something to capture gas from sewage. A bio-gas generator produces pathogen free fertilizer and a gas that can run an electric generator, and if we processed sewage where it is produced instead of pumping it across town while it loses all its methane up vent pipes, we would have our sewage disposal problems taken care of as well.

TRANSPORTATION is the master key to basic survival, and the cornerstone of the economy. We all know that transportation presently depends on oil production, and oil production is peaking. We must focus first on transportation – it is the highest priority.
The PickensPlan to transition vehicles to natural gas is a great start toward 100% energy independence, but is a stop-gap measure till we can transition to all electric transportation. Electric energy is strained without adding transportation demands; so we must drastically improve efficiency .
Evacuated Tube Transport (ETT) is a patented technology where travel occurs without air friction or rolling resistance (like “Space Travel on Earth”); ETT can accomplish 50 times more transportation per kWh (or carbon credit) than electric cars or trains. ETT is silent, low cost, safe, faster than jets, and is electric so it can make maximum use of wind or PV power. I invite you to visit my page to learn more about ETT

Rent "Who Killed the Electric Car" for openers. A friend of mine leased one, but was forced to return it. GM crushed them all. It had zero emissions, great pick up, ran like a top and never had to fill it up. If you produce your own solar energy with PVC panels, then you are both off the grid at home AND on the road. Why doesn't Pickens back that? Sure makes me wonder.

Both the liberal and conservative approaches has shown themselves to be bankrupt and determined to destroy the American economy. I am a centrist and see both approaches as completely unethical. We have to use a mixed bag approach to gain energy independence. The liberals sell economic pain while the conservatives sell dependence on oil. At least this approach gets outside of the proverbial box and addresses the issue in a truthful manner. As for PVC and electric automobiles, I simply see them as a part of the mix of energy systems that will slowly remove our dependence on oil.

I would think an environmentalist would support CNG since it is a bridge to hydrogen fuel. Below is a link to a site where the blending of hydrogen and CNG was tested with great success.

It excites me in that it uses wind...at least a renewable. But what really gets me excited is the level of anxiety I experience by having an oil man capitulate, sell his holdings in coal and announce he's going to "Save America." I suspect that Pickens is willing to short oil while he establishes a new way to hook everyone up to already established distribution centers (gas stations) to yet another energy source where he profits beyond our wildest dreams. One of the "whales" as we say in Vegas had to break rank and go with a new plan...but the plan had to be one where the infrastructure already established could be used to exploit the masses. CNG, huh? Well, America is just broke enough and desperate enough to reach out and grab what they see as the only life raft in sight. What's wrong with the electric battery and PVC? That much energy independence for Americans just doesn't fit your business model, does it Boone? Oh, brother.

"Whatever"....always a favorite response of the uneducated, ignorant liberal. And talking for the sake of talking....that's always good enough for the liberals anyway.

"Save the planet" ?? Yeah, that's brilliant too. Do some research and you will quickly see how you have been misled into believing that we humans are "destroying the planet", global warming, and all that poppycock. Don't just look for the liberal point of view, search BOTH sides of the issue.....and THEN decide which makes more sense to you.
