Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
Sat in Gas Lines of the 70's when you could only buy 10 gallons of gas. Sometimes the stations ran out but you never had a full tank.
Understand ethanol production, solar and wind. Had solar panels on my home in 1983. Family and friends are in ethanol production (producers).
Since January I've parked my truck (only fill it up once a month) and use my legs. I've dropped my driving by about 1,000 miles a month.
What excites you about this campaign?
Getting our Freedom back. Increasing jobs in the new technologies and old technologies. Do it all, conservation, remove "Enron Rules", nuclear, clean coal, wind, solar, electric & gas cars and anything that is made in the USA. Setting new direction for our country's future which the world will surely follow. Being the efficient producer and consumer of energy.
Let set a higher standard of living for our children and grandchildren.
What do you want to do to help?
emailed legislators, white house, phone calls, recruit people, find out what else is needed.

Patrick,
Regarding your post:
"Obama and democratic leadership already say NO to Drilling and nuclear. Without the left we can't get the democratics to move on everything possible. They prefer polictical power over feeding our children. I Guess the senior citizens will starve for 15 years until Obama's solution? is working for "Meals on Wheels" .

The answer to that is.....Vote them out of office.

How many times of we reelected some of these people over and over and over and look where we are at.

Its time to get rid of the DEAD WOOD!

Patrick I agree with you we need to do what ever we need to do to get out of this mess. I don't know what we can do to prevent this from happening again but we need some safeguards in our government to make sure they are doing what is best for us. What do you think? Maybe making the length of their terms shorter so that we can vote them out of office if they don't do their jobs. Perhaps we should be able to call for special elections if enough people don't feel they are doing a good job. But for some reason, and I have seen it many times, some bad politicians manage to stay in office term after term.

Patrick,

I am not an expert in this field of Bio Mass Energy. I am only going by the film clip and other information that I have read and my own common sense.

It seems to me that Ethanol is flawed from the very beginning if it is to be produced with corn or other food products. My reasoning is this: First of all it drives up food prices greatly. The cost of feeding cattle and swine goes way up. Second, this is according to what I have read is that you only get a minuscule amout of oil from the process of Corn Bio Mass. Corn produces 18 gallons of oil and Algae produces 20,000 gallons of oil per acre per year. That difference is huge! And the 20,000 number might even be on the low side. The algae will be in an enclosed system and it will be very clean. These factories or plants, whatever you would like to call them could be placed virtually anywhere where there is a good amout of sunlight. Third, it takes a great deal of energy to produce corn. You need to have all the right things happen. It is a crop that relys on rain fall. If there is too much, the crop suffers. It there is too little, the crops drys up and dies. Not so with the Algae Bio Mass.

I have been thinking about the Algae for weeks now. I honestly can't think of one thing about it that is negative. These posts are taking a great deal of my time. I want to help but I also have a life to live so for now I am going to sign off. You can continue to write and I will do my best to respond. Henry
