Hi Peter--you are experiencing what a lot of District leaders are too. With HR1835 stuck in committee it's difficult to stay motivated BUT with gas prices going up people will again be angry enough to be involved. I have gone to the telephone and email for more direct contact with volunteers. Send emails to all members of your group ask for phone numbers. We need to get HR1835 out of committee. Keep your eyes on the prize. If you have two or three good volunteers start by making phone calls and ask them the status of the bill. Those phone calls matter! Please feel free to email me for anything dani.lanz@pickensplan.com.

I'm also interested in helping organize a town hall meeting or anything for that matter. We could maybe get Pinnacle CNG Systems to be a sponsor. My company may sponsor as well.

If we aren't planning any meetings here, maybe we can plan a group ride/attendance in Fort Worth for the March 2nd Town Hall Meeting.

Peter, I am glad you are leading this effort in Midland. Are you planning any events in Midland? I would like to help out in any way possible. Any meetings in the near future? Abel

Peter, give me a little more information on this house. Where exactly is it going up and who is funding it?

Hello Peter. I have a design of windmill that can be used for powering communities. My financial backer has defaulted due to the economy (we are still on good speaking terms) but I am seeking financial funding to finish the complete prototype. There are three years of study & analysis both with a partial prototype and wind-tunnel studies. I am convinced this technology will eventually cut the costs of wind-powered electricity in half, but I need to get it to market. Let me know your thoughts, Adam

One other thing, Peter; I'll be coming back into town from a meeting out of state, and it's likely I won't be back until 1/16/09 afternoon. So I may not be available for most of the day's business. But I'm sure you can catch me up. Anyway, I'll watch for your notice on developing events.

I will plan to be there. Michael knows me, and he knows of my interest in revitalizing building trades training at OC. At the same time, let me be really upfront about the fact that I am not a policymaker at OC--just the little technical/grant writer!
I would really like to help get the word out on the Push Campaign. Have you looked at the website, www.meetup.com? It would be a great way to recruit attendees to local meetings.
You can reach me at martha.kunkel@gmail.com for Pickens Plan matters. We don't use the .edu for political activities. Originally I was researching alternative energy information on pickensplan.com for purposes of a wind energy turbine technician training program grant application.

Hey, Pete. No, no connection, but I met Ray some years ago and he seemed like a nice fellow. So, you are the Director? I would love for the group to get some public meetings going, and generate some publicity. Any thoughts?
