The Senate is working the Stimulus Package this week, so now is the right time to contact Senators Durbin and Burris!

We urge all Illinois Congressional District 11 Group members to call our House Representative and both Senators and ask them to support the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (the “Stimulus Package”).

Call on the phone. You can follow up with a letter or e-mail, but make the phone call. The call will have more impact, and there is not much time (the Bill should be up for a vote in the House on Wednesday).

That you encourage them to support passage of the Stimulus Package.

That you especially like the wind energy support provided by:
Extension of the Production Tax Credit for Renewable Energy
and implementation of a renewable infrastructure loan program..

That you ALSO want them to support increased use of domestic natural gas by
Increasing the Alternative Motor Vehicle Credit to benefit medium- and heavy-duty truck operators
and extending the Alternative Fuel Tax Credit.

We have a lot we’re trying to do by Inauguration day, starting by reaching out to new members. If you could introduce 5 new members to the Pickens Plan - right from our District - that would be huge.

I'd also like to find a way to get members of our District to meet, face-to-face.

Most importantly, I'd like to find out about any ideas YOU have for local actions we can take.

PLEASE email the Pickens Plan video to everyone you know. www.pickensplan.com. Ask them to join. Ask them to pass it along. Time is of the essence. If every member had 10 friends join today, we could put the number of members over 1 million very quickly!

If we can not get critical numbers how can we take advantage of this golden opportunity? High gas prices have "woken up" America to our plight and a paradigm shift like not other is in the wind. We need to do this now.

So many new members write "I want to help, what can I do?" This is a start. We may not get to the next step if we can not get this one done.

Our leaders can not ignore millions of members of the Pickens Plan. We are not there yet. One person can make a difference.
