i work in the ski industry and i want to work on combining wind technology w/ recreation based companies.Once the wind energy corridor is up and running on what would be considered the macro scale,it will lead the way for micro scale projects, Colorado is ground zero of all these resources wind/solar/CNG that will come in to play w/ the PickensPlan.It's all about Energy and the jobs/work that it brings!

Secretary Chu Announces Nearly $300 Million for Clean Cities Grants
August 26, 2009

U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Steven Chu today announced the selection of 25 cost-share projects under the Clean Cities program that will be funded with nearly $300 million from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. NREL to get big bucks

GOLDEN, Colo. — The primary U.S. lab for renewable energy will receive $110 million in federal stimulus money and another $83 million will go toward wind energy efficiency and other alternative power projects, Energy Secretary Steven Chu said Wednesday.

"Wind energy will be one of the most important contributors to meeting President Obama's target of generating 10 percent of our electricity from renewable sources by 2012," Chu said.

Solar Plant coming to Southern Colorado

DENVER — SunPower Corp. said Tuesday it will build a 17-megawatt solar plant in southern Colorado and sell the power generated to Xcel Energy Inc.
It is the latest in a handful of agreements announced by solar energy manufacturers and utilities as more states adopt standards requiring a percentage of electricity to be produced from renewable resources.

Aspen/Snowmass moving forward with Wind Power

Data supports goal of wind turbines at S’mass

SNOWMASS VILLAGE — Wind data collected this winter at the Snowmass Ski Area on the upper slopes of Baldy Mountain show that electricity-generating wind turbines would work there, at least in the winter. Now it remains to be seen how the wind blows the rest of the year.

Hey Scott I just received a partial investment to start building Jeeps that run on Biodiesel that we are currently producing here in Steamboat. In order for me to obtain the money I need another investor to step in for collateral or fund the remaining 75%. Hi Scott, I am not sure what all I can do but am willing to get the message out there. I am a special education teacher on the Navajo rez so I plan incorporating lessons into my teaching that are based on the Pickens Plan. With Earth day coming around it is the perfect time to educate the students. Also I am a government employee but will tackfully try to get more folks interested in this plan. Look forward to hearing from you. Leslie
