Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
My experience with alternative energy comes from dealing with our old, primary energy sources. Similar to Mr. T.Boon Pickens, if you know even a little about our energy situation in the U.S.A., then you know we need alternatives FAST! I am owner and registered agent of Liberty Land Company, our mission here at Liberty is to help land owners make better choices when it comes to leasing their land for energy development projects. Many land owners are ill informed as to their rights and obligations before they sign a lease for oil and gas drilling, and /or renewable energy development projects. Many of these leases are written by the energy companies themselves to give the companies every available right. Once the lease is signed it's too late to wish you hadn't given some of your rights or land use options away. I have spoken with many land owners who would've fared much better had they negotiated with their lessee.
we are actively seeking leases for domestic and renewable energy projects, and liberty can also help you make sense of some of the language on a lease you may not be familiar with. Always seek legal counsel before leasing your property for energy development, and remember that having someone who can market your land to responsible operators and give you options is always better than taking the first offer you get. Liberty Energy Group is a small company comprised of a handful of licensed securities brokers who have raised many millions of dollars in domestic oil and gas drilling programs, who have recently started to develop Kentucky's Oil and Natural Gas resources. We have an understanding of the pressures placed on the American energy markets and we see this as an incredible opportunity for all Americans to play a roll in the new energy economy. we are presently developing plans for conventional and renewable projects and are finding ways that Americans can invest in the future of our own energy independence. Our nation has no choice but to make the difficult step of reducing our dependence on foreign Oil however, seeing the opportunity in the situation and mobilizing our efforts is our way out of this mess. The people who understand our present energy situation know this. People like Boon Pickens, and everyday people like us are holding the keys to the new energy economy.
What excites you about this campaign?
It's right.
as a nation and a global economy we will either step forward into the future with alternative energy sources, or our nation and quite possibly the human race will step back into a dark era. nothing is more important than developing these resources today. AMERICA can do this! we can overcome this incredible obstacle if we take action! All of us here at liberty energy and many thousands in the state of Kentucky are ready to answer the call to action.
What do you want to do to help?
the team of concerned Kentuckians in our area will do W.I.T.
(whatever it takes) to not only spread the word, but to help implement renewable projects that are realistic for the state of kentucky. First, our fellow Kentuckians need to understand the obstacles we face as a state both geographically and politically, our states wind resources are poor compared to other Midwestern states however, this conclusion has been based on poor or incomplete information. presently there are state funded programs currently being implemented that will give better data, this will help private industry decide what areas of Kentucky are right for alternative energy projects. This assumption is also the reason Kentucky does not offer the tax incentives to corporations that other states have used to bring the investment needed in domestic energy development. So to sum that up, we need our local residents who want to see renewable energy be a reality for Kentucky donate small tracts of land for environmental monitoring stations that will give us better data. This is already a reality and you can help! If your a land owner and want to donate a location for a monitoring site then please contact me and I will put you in touch with Kentucky MESONET, these sites are all solar powered and involve very little space.
Once there are 2 of these locations in every county, we will have more accurate and reliable data about wind speeds and solar radiation. These sites also provide many benefits to local farmers, as they also monitor rainfall, humidity, soil moisture levels, and other beneficial information. Once the data is in, we can use this to determine which types of alternative energy projects are feasible for our state, If the state also uses this data to determine which types of tax incentives will be wise investments of it's citizens tax dollars, it will then attract the kinds of renewable ventures that can be profitable in Kentucky. Just assuming that Kentucky is not right for alternative resources is not acceptable, Newer ideas and technology are quickly finding ways to make older ideas more efficient, Solar and wind projects are on the horizon for Kentucky if we truly use the resources we have. Kentucky also has VAST amounts of Coal, Oil, and Natural gas. Did you know that Kentucky is 7th in the U.S.A. for it's oil production? These are resources we must continue to develop in a responsible way and help further decrease our dependence on foreign oil. Remember, the basics of the Picken's Plan is to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, or our economy will fail, It is clear that since alleged "PEAK OIL" was hit in 2005 that our economy has suffered greatly in accordance with the rising price of oil. We have to "create" room in our consumption with alternative energy sources just to shift our automobiles over to natural gas for it to work. We are also going to have to drill every available bit of our own natural gas and oil reserves for this to work. This is going to be a huge challenge to our nation, But you and I both know we can do it.
Kentucky is ready to play a role.

Hi Seth, Here is a tool for all of us to get RE projects started by selling of US Treasury "Energy Independence Savings Bonds". Savings bonds are normally purchased in $25 increments. This gives a way for just about any American to tighten their belts just a bit by skipping a meal at McDonalds or Pizza Hut and buying a RE savings bond to support a renewable energy project and save money at the same time for themselves. I need help pushing this project, I've faxed and emailed many in Congress/Senate already. If you agree with this plan please consider passing to other people in your district as it will be a great tool to get funding for PickensPlan projects. This is a way to help and give tools to all of us for getting more RE projects started. My email is ke6cvh@yahoo.com. Here is a copy of a fax sent to Nancy Pelosi the other day:

Honorable Speaker of the House Congresswoman Pelosi,
I am an Electronic Technician Chief in the US Navy with 27 years service stationed overseas. I’m outlying an idea to assist and work with current plans for achieving energy independence. I urge you, as speaker of the house and the driving force to form the select committee on energy independence and global warming, consider for discussion and introduction into the house US Treasury Savings Bonds for Energy Independance.
In WWII America sold war bonds supporting the war effort. When young, my mother told me her primary school raised enough money through bonds to build a tank to support troops. I am impressed with the patriotism and purpose of our greatest generation that accomplished so much.
Selling energy bonds for RE (Renewable Energy) development would lower foreign oil imports and assist with the complex problem of funding. Bonds sold as “Energy S” could support new solar trough plants, “Energy W” to support wind farms, Energy “H” to support hydroelectric plants, Energy “T” to support RE transportation such as electric bullet train routes powered by RE, Energy "C" COOPS for small communities only needing a small quantity of turbines, and Energy “I” for needed infrastructure high voltage power lines to the RE site. Bonds will have the project name and include an artist’s perspective of the project and an American flag. President Obama had great success with the internet during his campaign. In a similar manner, using the internet, energy bonds could have a website listing current projects and an “electronic checkout” could purchase a bond $25 or higher. Simpler methods of payment such as “PAYPAL” and credit cards would be available and after an electronic purchase is complete a color print out of the bond is available with a follow up of the bond in the mail. The website would limit quantity of projects for each category until funding is complete. After a project becomes funded, a new project will be available. A tab on the site will show history and status of previous projects. Purchasers may take great pride in “collecting” and displaying bonds of various RE projects and participating at different levels of financial support. Solar trough plants in the multi-hundred MW size capacity with molten salt energy storage in California, Arizona, and West Texas can provide a major portion of electric needs. North Dakota has potential to support 1/3 of our nations electric needs in it’s class 4 wind zone areas. There are plenty of suitable proposed wind turbine farms now around the nation to significantly increase our RE if funded. Mid sized hydro-electric has not been used in America to it’s full potential. Following the example of our neighbor, Canada, it would provide a significant increase in percentage of electric production. Developing all three we could provide the majority of our electric and heating needs through renewable energy in a "New New Deal" fashion allowing natural gas for transportation as T. Boone Pickens is working for. Bullet train routes have proven a viable alternative to commercial domestic air service and when powered by electricity provided by RE suppliers America would be in the forefront of world technology. Example, I heard of discussion for a commuter train from Denver to Colorado Springs. Such a route built as a renewable energy project with charter requirement legally requiring to only purchase electricity from available renewable energy sources would be a model example. There are many train routes, city bus systems, and government vehicles that can be converted to run from alternative energy sources and fuels. Jobs created would bolster the economy, lower trade deficit, and strengthen national security. I would take great pride in print outs of bonds with graphics of each project I supported and many other Americans would also. The energy bonds could have tax breaks. BLM lands may be a viable place to start for some projects.
I contacted the US treasury department and was told that the marketing department for savings bonds closed several years ago. I was told there would be problems because savings bonds are at the federal level while the projects will be at the state and local level. I disagree and believe that these can easily be figured out in the way of grants to the state and local level using money from the bonds for those specific projects. I was told to check out auctions on the www.treasurydirect.gov website and found them to not apply to citizens wanting to buy savings bonds to support a cause such as energy independance. I was told by the treasury department to look into CREB (Clean Renewable Energy Bonds). I found CREB to be large scale funding that a citizen would not be able to participate in as a US Treasury Energy Independance Bond would provide. If given the tools to participate directly, the power of the citizens of the United States to help achieve energy independance could not be denied. Americans mean well and the Energy Independance Savings bond program will give citizens the power at their level to make it happen. If marketed through a web page, commercials, and to federal employees the word would get out and participation would spread like wildfire.

Mr. Spouse,
The stimulus package that Mr. Pickens wants us to support is a gigantic pork barrel bill. We need to support Rep. Boehner's bill that will alleviate the recession more quickly and at a lower cost. Mr. Pickens needs to focus on getting lands opened for drilling both offshore and in ANWR. If you would read the report from the russian climatologists and the report from the George C. Marshall Institute, you would see that the evidence is mounting that we are going into a period of cooling leading to a new ice age. If they are right, we will need every source of Btu's that we can find as well as a top military as the medieval cooling period caused famine and wars over food. While discussing the middle ages, the warm period around 1000 A.D. caused longer growing seasons and even the cultivation of wheat in Greenland. This was from a 7 degree increase in average temperature which is a lot more than the 0.2 degree rise predicted by the global warming alarmists. So buy a coal heater and a couple of tons of coal to back up any electric system you have. Also, it is shown that although CO2 has risen the last five years, the temperature has gone down significantly. In a way I would prefer global warming to a new ice age due to the growing season effect. I really do like to eat. If you get ahold of Mr. Pickens, please get him to focus on energy independence and the use of all our resources including coal, oil, CNG, wind, solar, and nuclear. We also need to stop sending Islam, which seeks our destruction, millions of dollars per year that they use for weapons to destroy us.

Seth, my name is craig kincaid I live in rural Glasgow (Finney). Hope this thing takes off. We've been walking the auto malls since 1974. Its time we drove one off the lot.
Seth,
First,I want to thank you for taking on the position of organizing the Second District's Pickens Army.
I notice that when I receive information from the Pickens group, that they have some of the politician's names wrong. For instance, when asked,a few month's ago to contact our Governor,it still had Fletcher's name there.
Also, though Ron Lewis,is technically still our Second District Representative to Congress,B. Guthrie is the one that people from our district should be contacting, since he will very soon be our Rep.
We need him knowing who we are and what we expect from him on the day he takes office.
Does anyone know how we can contact him in advance of his swearing in? If not, does anyone know what his e-mail address will be when he is assigned his office? If we can get that,we can have hundreds of "Pickens Plan supporters' e-mails waiting for him when he arrives.
Thanks,
Michael Boone

Hi Seth
The clock is ticking. Both Thomas Freidman and The Gang of 20 have told us (see DAILY PICKENS) the only way to change America's energy policy is to build this historical, grass roots effort to un-ignorable heights. There are less than 75 days until Inauguration Day. We must concentrate on the job at hand. CAN YOU GET 10 signed pledges faxed in asap? Many hands make light work.
thank you for sending me the email and inviting me to be a friend...Pickens Plan is having trouble getting traction in my part of KY. They think he is a enemy of coal...if I can just get them to read the plan...

Hi Seth!
It has been a while since we kept in touch last!
We are now over 1.2 million suporters. We will need many more if we are to beat back the damn lobbyists and special interests. Can you help with the pledges? Every American needs to sign on. With pledges we can fan out and reach so many. It is an easy ask- Boone has done the hard work. I was able to get 300 signed in the first 4 days - everyone wants to to get off of foreign oil. We may never have a golden opportunity like this again!
ARE YOU IN?
Please congratulate Karen Nardella for being invited to the 100CLUB - for faxing/sendng in more than 100 signed pledges. She is a Picken's hero! Her story is on the 100CLUB Group page - read how she accomplished it!
