Tosha,

I have a special request,

Our group is trying to get funding and would LOVE to use your RAINBOW picture as a company logo.

Should funding come available I would pay you very very generously for the use of the photo. At the moment all I can offer is to make it your copyright on the photo and credits in your name.

PLEASE PLEASE contact me at 605-202-0559

Merry Christmas tosha,
This year I have helped so many members learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about power use, conservation, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my energy costs. Send me a friend request a to add me tosha, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.

BTW, oklahoma: I just posted an article about Home Wind Systems in oklahoma. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "soft policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. You should read that article, important.

Greetings! Well, I was looking at my page and saw that I have "friends" (came as a shock, sort of ... must be getting old) - anyway, I decided to wish you a Happy Chanukah, Merry Christmas, and a Happy - Peaceful - New Year.

My question of the day for the Mr Pickens ... when does this army get its guns? ... just kidding ... well, sort of ... L0L!

Merry Happy to you and yours!
Peter, the truly Crazy Composer.

Hello tosha, These new roof mounting residential wind turbine kits shipping now. They are sleek and attractive, well designed. These are actually a home appliance on the roof, much like an antennae or satellite dish. They are as easy to install as other home appliances, dishwasher, etc. It's a nice clean way for you to begin a personal energy plan. These systems are inexpensive, easy to install, scaleable.

Your Wind blows stronger in the winter, Your Sun shines stronger in the summer months. This hybrid wind/solar system combines these cycles to give a more even flow of energy year round. This homeowner sized wind/solar system provides free power for your home. Many customers have found it easy to become customer/dealers of our kits. Customers can become a dealer with no further investment, they see quickly how people are easy to get interested.

I have used the same systems save money on my electricity costs and tosha, you can too. Your local wind resources are so good in Oklahoma. Have a look at these windmaps and see can you pinpoint what number your area is in. Zone 2 is OK, anything over 2 is (very) good. First double check your wind resources from the map and links below.

Hello Tosha,

Your "rainbow" photo compelled me to visit and comment - a wonderfully beautiful shot - as well as the pictures of the butterfly(s) and the American Eagle - what an amazing shot you captured.

Your fears regarding the future are shared by quite a few others; while I may not have children I certainly think about what the future world will be like for the generations coming after we have shuffled of this mortal coil.

I was always brought up to believe that we are not the owners of this marvelous planet but have merely been entrusted with the care-taking of it while living; something which we have failed quite prolifically at, if I may say (though I doubt that really needs to be said). Our inheritance - our legacy - is what we leave for those who come after us, and it is our responsibility to leave this planet - the ONE single place in the universe that we know can sustain our species (water on Mars notwithstanding) - in a better place than it was when we took over management.

If we really want to demonstrate how serious we are about "changing" things - if we really want to leave a "better" world for the children of tomorrow - than it is going to take a great deal more than changing our consumption of fossil fuels, it is going to take a paradigm shift in the way the west lives and consumes. This is never a popular argument, but it is difficult to counter when you consider the proportion of the population represented by North America and the percentage of World Consumption that we suck in as though the supply were endless. Consider this: the United States and Canada, two countries that represent about 300 or so million inhabitants, has as its "suppliers" for goods the largest nations in the world - China, India, Pakistan, ... and the list goes on. Yes, we export out goods as well, but we are net importers of consumer items - cheap consumer goods that are made in Third World nations by underpaid workers.

How does this help the world? Would you like your daughter and nephew working in some clothing factory in order to satisfy the cravings of some consumer on the other side of the world - making clothes that you will never be able to afford to wear? The truth is brutal, horrible, ugly and ... above all, available to anyone who is interested in seeing it - all you have to do is look - and then be prepared to act, for once we are aware of something we become accountable to that knowledge, we can no longer use the excuse "I didn't know," or, "I had no idea this was going on". The alarms have been sounded: documentaries have been made, papers have been published and testimonies have been given; our lifestyles are killing the poorest peoples of the world as well as the world. Change must begin now.

... Still - loved your pics ... sorry to get so heavy ... haven't had my second cup of coffee yet ... :-)

CrazyComposer, Out.
