- Seven Years promoting wind energy education in an area where wind farming started 30 years ago. We still are fighting the apathy for technical training in our region.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- I have been sharing the Pickens energy videos for several months; first at Change.org/energytalk and later on http://AlternativeEnergy.com/videos
I created an energy challenge on YouTube and other video sites called Oil2Wind Power Challenge; to encourage young people to make videos of what is being done in every region of the country.
Now we need to translate the Picken's Plan into Spanish and share it with the leaders of Mexico and Venezuela; the Picken's plan may become the means of teaching OPEC to develop the infrastructure for wind power in Latin America.
To my knowledge, there is only one other US manufacturer for these commercial wind turbines, and they do not have the capacity for producing the 3,000 gensets needed for this project.
I would like to invite you all to come on the air at EnergyTalk LIVE and share your ideas about where we go from here. We are currently doing a dozen shows a week on BTR; hosted by AlternativeEnergy.com/notes/Promote_Radio send me a note to get on the schedule.

Yes I have talked to many people about energy issues. Most people simply think that the leaders of our government are beating around the bush. Implementing energy changes by X numbers of years is a cop out. We need energy problems solved not tomorrow or the next day but now!
The proposed goal dates are too far away from the problems. With those goals many people will be dead and will never get to see the changes or even if there will be change. People want to at least see it in their lifetime. Start full force now.
On the other hand there are many people who have money tied to the energy problems. These are big moneys and big problems. With great wealth comes great power. Lobbyist run this country not the people we elect. They buy the laws from medicine to oil and the legal amount of acceptable destruction to our people, moral governments,environment, and economic infrastructure.The love of money is the driving force behind important issues.
Corrupted governments will take simple rare necessitates such as the "Electoral Collage" and turn it into a powerful tool for control and power. Many people do not even vote. Why not? Well voting is a waste of government money. It does not matter who gets the popular vote. The government decides who will be in power. The peoples vote is not worth 1 cent. The Electoral Collage puts who they want into power. So.. Why even vote?
In closure I would like to express that this country has went from one nation under God to one nation without God. From for the people by the people to for the lobbyist by the government. The only thing "Almighty" about the U.S. Dollar is "In God We Trust". Until God is included and corruption halted there will be only doom. One nation under God; In God we trust. Restore this in actions not just words! Finally both lobbyist and the "as is" electoral collage should be completely and utterly eradicated. Only use the electoral collage as it was first used or do not use it.
One last note of particular emphasis... There needs to be super harsh penalties for government officials who are proven to be corruptly and fraudulently gaining profit for themselves or others. I mean life without parole in the harshest prisons or worse! Moreover, all current and future government officials should never have any finical ties to any company, wither stocks or personally or family owned business, corporations, or such profitable works. If they can not do the job for the job's and the people's sake then no job. Many have went into governmental politics for the money. This is where the problems take root and spread throughout the land like a festering malignancy.
P.S. I told Mr. Boone, thanks for his efforts in this endeavor that he has personally set into action and even now pursues. Energy independence should be in the "Declaration of Independence".
I have found that petitons are the best way to spread the word AND sign up supporters.
Here is HOW TO TURN THE PLEDGE INTO A PETITION!
I find it easiest to take one pledge, cut off Boone's lines under the pledge and add a sheet of lined paper under the pledge instead. I put NAME - ADDRESS - EMAIL across the top and fill in the first line to set the format. Most are more willing to sign where others have already done so, rather than the single pledge at a time approach. Everyone understands a petition.
I ask if they would "sign this petition in support of T, Boone Pickens energy plan to get us off of foreign oil?" Hand them the clipboard so they can read it. I do not require the signers to give me their email if they are reticent - don't let that be a deal breaker - some just do not want to give it.

There are over 150 people in the pledge challenge that I know of right now. Surely, there are many more that I am unaware of, as it is in many greetings. Those 150 willl bring 15,000 new members. If each brings just 5 friends, these 150 will be responsible for 75,000 new members.
This is the approach that works best for me - I tried many. Hopefully, this will encourage you to take the challenge, too. CAN YOU HELP?
