Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
My dad installed a solar water heater in the year 1994 back in india on the top of the terrace of our house.
What excites you about this campaign?
Its a great start. We need some more people like Mr pickens. We are the no 1 country on this earth and if we dont take a leadershp in finding alternate sources of energy who else would? Its a common sence that if we could produce energy from the natural blowing wind, then we can burn the coal for different purpose. So I wold say its a great start. My best wishes to Mr pickens and his team.
What do you want to do to help?
Anything and everything.Would love to study about how the turbine works and someday be a wind turbine tech.May be even have a wind farm of my own.My company back in india is into the production of parts for internal combustion engine. We manufacture crankshafts, connecting rods, cam shafts, bearings, liners and pistons, and various other parts for the giant indian automobile manufacturers.anyone over here if has a invention of his own and wants to manufacture that product in mass quantity then I can have my company to produce that at a very cheap labour costs.

Vipul, I actually Import solar panels from our factory in China. It is a Joint Venture company. We sell them by the KW output not just by size of the panel like most, so you are getting more bang for your buck. If interested please feel free to contact me. We can send them to India if you wish.
For farms, the best cost-to-return on energy are Solar Thermal plants.
I hope your solar photovoltaic (PV) panels are made will fit easily in the hands of pedestrian, or on top of an auto-rickshaw. I have noticed while visiting India that everything there is very oriented towards the pedestrian.
I have plans for portable solar thermal generators as well, in the 1.5 or 3KW range, but I've posted those to the Google Contest, so it would be inappropriate to release this to the public yet. If they do not reward my idea, perhaps I will get back to you as a preferred manufacturer.
As for best PV? I think you must balance output, versus cost.
Hello Vipul, take Roberts post to heart. He is a solid up and comer.

Hi Vipul, good to hear from you. I have a meeting today in Atlanta with a couple of our memebers who will be helping me organize. I am hoping to have another meeting at the end ofthis month and then by the mid to end of October have a statewide meeting, big undertaking, so I will keep you posted on how it is going. Thanks for your support! Talk soon, Sam

In the bay area we have a lot of wind so we are going to produce more power from wind turbines. Solar only has the ability to produce power for a few hours a day. Wind has ability 24 hours a day. If we have a similar kilowatt solar system and a wind system, we will get much more power generation out of the wind.
Also, what are we going to do with all those solar panels when they dont work in 20 years? Where are we dumping them? Turbines can last forever with only upgrading the mechanics.
I wrote a post about the Incentives in GA, I think most of the incentive / rebate pool has already been reserved, but you would need to verify that with the state:
