- I build my first wind turbne at the age of 9. I went to a school in Michigan that was completely of the grid, with wind power for electricity, solar for heating and a duck pond that made gas to run tractors. Now I run an architectural firm dedicated to Green building. And we have starterd production of wind turbines for room mounted aplications.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- I make wind turbines, so my motives are clear!
- What do you want to do to help?
- I want to make wind power accessable to every one at a great price with terms les then the curent power bill thay are already paying. This make installing wind power cost less that your paying now. Then once the unit is paid for you keep the profit for years to come.

Franklin Wind Energy Group LLC (‘Franklin Wind Energy’) is a Michigan based renewable energy company originally formed in 2000 that recently acquired the US rights to manufacture and market a revolutionary new vertical axis wind turbine developed by Vbine Energy Ltd.
During the past decade, Franklin's principals have had extensive experience with advanced wind turbine technologies and renewable energy. Building on this experience, management intends to build an assembly plant in Michigan to make these turbines faster, less expensive and better with a readily available skilled labor force.
Demand in the small wind market is increasing dramatically each year and we plan to quickly ramp up and become the leading supplier of vertical axis wind turbines (VAWTs) in the US and capture a significant share of the market for roof top micro wind turbines across a wide range of industrial and consumer markets.

After you've had a chance to settle in, please let me know if there's anything I can do to help. The basic first steps are reviewing the current topics in the Forum, and inviting others to the website when you're comfortable. The people here want to do something to foster energy independence and those you invite will find that joining us is the right thing to do.
Here are further steps you might consider, some of which you may have already taken.
- Sign up to lead or volunteer on the Local District page.
- Visit your My Energy page and get involved.
- Get involved with others in your City or State.
- Find and connect with a like-minded Group.
- Start or join a Campus/Alumni group at PickensU.
- Work your contacts to increase press coverage.
- Write to congressional representatives directly.
- Use Pickens Action buttons or call (202) 225-3121.
- Speak out for ending our dependence on foreign oil.
- Write letters to the editor of your local paper.
- Download flyers/etc from here or here.
- Download the Petition and ask others to sign it.
- Start a company to build wind turbines/solar panels.
- Start a financing firm to invest in those companies.
- Tell everyone you know about PickensPlan.com.
Decide for yourself what you can do, but definitely do something.

We are a voluntary community of individuals who are placing our combined support behind T. Boone Pickens and his efforts to send our government a clear (heard) message that we must reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil through the use of all domestic energy alternatives. This site is a place to interact with fellow Pickens Plan supporters, keep up with events and opportunities to help get more involvement.
For those of you that have already jumped in and have made contact with your local leader- thanks.
Please, I ask the first sites you visit to get accurate info and articles to see pretty much what the plan is about and where the plan stands, and please come back to these sites often as changes take place regularily. Some are long, please; take the time to get all the details.

There is a group for almost everything. The Forums/discussions on this site are many and you’ll probably find something that interests or concerns you. Some are very long and were started months ago. For the ones that concern you, please keep in mind, events are remembered and relayed differently by those commenting, which as we all too well know equals at least three sides to the event.
After you have read the sites I mentioned, if you need anything else to help you, while you help the push, please stop by. I am proud to put my efforts towards this cause.
