Plan Doomed By Name?

The “Pickens Plan”, for all intents and purposes, it might as well be called the “Make a Rich White Man Richer Plan”. I have looked at the Pickens Plan off and on for a couple of years and I run into the same problem. Every time I bring up the name, the response is always something about that rich white guy. For some reason, being a rich white guy just isn’t in vogue this week. For that reason, the Pickens Plan may have doomed itself. Maybe if Mr. Pickens would have gone with something more… Continue

fracking controversies - need to manage and deal with this issue

hi all,

it seems as if the fracking controversy / polluting drinking water is a major issue. If it's a minor issue, we're not getting that in the press. I wish that Mr. Pickens would talk more about it and that we don't let a positive whitewash brushstroke blind us to this controversy.

I want energy independence and lowered oil/gasoline usage, so solving the fracking issue with risk/benefits and honesty (not PR and all) is the way to go.

Thank…

Wake UP Please!!

I feel like George W Bush was a great President.  When you consider the turmoil that he had to endure during his tenure, he was the right man at the right time.  However there were so many distractions, I believe his focus on energy faded and we made no progress on indepence from oil.  Not just President Bush, but all the other Presidential leaders lost focus on this battle, and we've only gone backward.

When President Obama was elected, I felt like it would be simple to be…

Global Warming ie: Climate Change is Science the GOP can’t wish away

Many months ago I posted -EPA denies climate change challenges- that the Climate Scientist Reported: stolen emails undermined the Climate Change Reports.

So I thought it was especially appropriate to include the following email I received from the Alliance to Save Energy-News You Can Use-via New York Times…

let's get this done

Does anybody know if Flying J will install a fueling station anytime soon?  I believe I saw a CLNE announcement that they were in a partnership deal with Flying J.

I tried last year but could not find a Honda dealer to sell me a car despite their advertising that NGV's could be purchased in any state.  Has anybody else tried?

Who's Got Gas?

I vaguely remember when G.W. Bush was in the White House and gas was teetering on $3 bucks a gallon. You would have thought that President Bush was hoarding all the gas on his Crawford Texas farm. Every time I turned on a TV, there it was; G.W. Bush, in bed with big oil. It has got to be this that is causing gas prices to rise. It turned out to be a much simpler force in action in the fuel market…supply and demand. Now we are here again. We have an increasing demand with a decreasing supply.… Continue

Forget Waiting for Energy Independence

After following energy policy, I quickly realized that the government has no interest in energy independence. Energy independence means greater freedom for American citizens. It means more money in your pocket to travel and do what you choose to do. Mobility is a great indicator of freedom. Can you imagine not being able to travel due to energy costs? If it comes down to driving your car or heating your house, your car will sit in the garage. Americans shouldn't even have to think twice…

Here is a fairly recent link to Why Big Trucks don't need to be Natural Gas!!

While the obvious emphasis of the Pickens Plan has become primarily one of Natural Gas, the comments that America should become enamoured with Natural Gas for it's Truck Fleets really shouldn't be taken seriously considering the fact that even former California Governor "Arnold" was smart enough to understand that we don't need NG at all.  In this article  you see his introduction of the Class B Hydrogen powered Semi at… Continue

Midwest Community Wind Project

National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) publishes a wind survey map of the United States (AWS Truewind).  According to this 80m survey there are 11 states with potential class 3 wind resources in the Midwest. Implications on the Dollar as we pay for foriegn oil.

As we pay for foriegn oil, The Federal Bank Reserve continues doing the dollar harm in it's present controlling state. Yes there is a cartel in the banking system. The currencies in many countries will be hit soon and the value of money as we know it will be gone. Do you have a plan to overcome the debt and loss of income that is headed your way?.

Here is a…

LET'S SUPPORT OBAMA FOR CREATING HIGH SPEED RAIL

Republicans have no solutions for anything - they even want to eliminate the EPA. They hate alternative energy because it threatens their oil company buddies.

We need to get behind President Obama's plan for HIGH SPEED RAIL. This would be a huge job creator and a great addition to our crumbling infrastructure. It would give people jobs across the nation and, best of all, it would get more cars off our roads. I would take a high speed train in a heartbeart. I have been all over Europe…
