Hi folks,
I don't make a habit of sending out political emails, but coming up on April 1-3 (Wed-Fri) is an opportunity to join an appeal to Washington, D.C. for an INTELLIGENT ENERGY POLICY.
There are many challenges confronting our nation (and our planet) these days...but to me, ENERGY is the #1 political and economic issue facing our government and our society.
Wisely addressing our energy needs can:
* create millions of jobs,
* lower our…

Tomorrow is the kick-off for our Virtual March on Washington (April 1-3).
http://www.pickensplan.com/virtualmarch/
We have 3.8 million members of the New Energy Army, partners and friends poised and ready to do their part.
Over the next three days, we want to tell Congress that the Pickens Plan is still the ONLY plan on the table to reduce our dependence on foreign oil and we want them to join in supporting legislation to do just that.
Boone is doing his…

This past Sunday, the Pickens Plan was recognized by the Association of Political and Public Affairs Professionals as the best public affairs campaign in 2008.
Receiving this award was a huge honor for Boone personally - but it really couldn't have happened without you.
And Boone wanted me to make hat you knew how much he appreciates your efforts!!

Everyone, tommorow is the beginning of our march on Washington. The first ever, of this magnitude. I was speaking with a journalist this morning on my thoughts about the rally. What I thought would come of it, what am I going to do, and how I've helped gear up other members of the Army, were a few of the questions I answered. Up until now, I had only thought of what we were virtually marching for. However, as I sat down talking to this man on the phone, the reality of the whole thing hit me. I…

FREE ENERGY, SAVE MONEY, HELP THE WORLD!
It's true, using the energy from the sun can help you feel good about the resources you use and your self while doing something good for your community and your country. The really good news is there is no better time to take advantage of solar power than Now given the fact that we are being pushed to take a deeper look at energy conservation by the current state of our economy and with a President who supports the idea of being energy self…

I have joined many online activist sites. Many for the environment, some for moral responsiblity and others for animals. Only because of these grassroots organizations has my voice been heard in Congress. I have tried letter after letter, email after email, but I realized after starting this 7 years or more ago, that if I was not part of a collective voice, my letter was being ignored. Who knows, maybe they didn't want to hear from the 7th district. What ever the reason, this is why I joined…

In my Blog of 3.21, 9:30 AM, I asked: Where can I buy a US-built plug-in hybrid?
My question has been answered: the FISKER Karma is here!
What is the best type of car
To help us get off oil? With the best chance to GREATLY reduce CO2 levels?
Cars that make sense? Cars that run 100 miles on $ 2.50 worth of electricity?
Cars for which you can make your own "fuel" with PV panels on your roof?
The answer: a plug-in Hybrid. Read more about…

This is indirectly connected to Mr. Pickens Plan as it has to do with Natural Gas. Louisiana currently ships natural gas out of state to be "processed" / refined. We then purchase this "refined" product at a much higher cost than it would to be refined here in the state it is produced. Doesn't it make a great deal more sense to keep this natural resource here in Louisiana and the Gulf coast? In addition aren't we losing profits and jobs that would be generated locally?

District OK-01 We made our goal of 100 members, which is great.
The District is a place for us to share information about what is happening regarding energy legislation. Alot of people say they don't care about legislation. I say we have to care, not caring is what has led us to the state of disarray we find ourselves…

It had been termed the Brave New World -- the one where electricity restructuring would revolutionize business models, technology development and consumer behaviors. But it has yet to happen. With the newfound emphasis on climate change, however, the energy sector may be jolted in ways that advocates of deregulation had only dreamed.
It centers on controlling energy use, which in…
