Advantages: Convenience of shopping on-line with increasingly secure technologies safeguarding Internet transactions, e.g. on June 27th Visa International announced that more than 60 of the world's top Internet solutions providers combined to launch its "Visa Authenticated Payment". This will enhance the security of Internet-based payments on a global scale. This provides Visa and the consumer the same level of security in the virtual world as they have in the physical world. Pure play doesn't…

The Case For Natural Gas Vehicles @ UVM was great. There was a very strong compelling case made for NGV technologies & filling stations in Vermont. The Pickens Plan was there, and is in line with this U.S. conversion to use CNG, Wind & Solar to reduce our dependence on foreign oil. H.R. 1835. Join us Burlington Vermont & Beyond.

"America is at a crossroads" sounds like tired campaign rhetoric, but when it comes to energy policy, we are in the middle of the intersection.
Since July 8, 2008, when I launched the Pickens Plan to reduce our escalating dependence on foreign oil, I have talked about that dependence as the greatest threat to our economy and our national security. Our consumption is out of whack—25 percent of the world's oil production with only…

Pickens Pushes Alternative Energy In Michigan – Associated Press – 5/28/09
By John Flesher
MACKINAC ISLAND, Mich. (AP) - Texas oil magnate T. Boone Pickens is urging Michigan leaders to embrace alternative energy.
Pickens joined Gov. Jennifer Granholm in an energy discussion Thursday during the Detroit Regional Chamber's annual policy conference on Mackinac Island.
He has invested heavily in wind energy in Texas and is lobbying U.S. politicians to reduce…

While certain forces (oil moguls?) are still pushing the (greatly causing CO2 pollution) hydrogen car (because how hydrogen is made), common sense seems to propel car makers in the direction of EVs and plug-in hybrids.
Daimler - the Mercedes-Benz Maker - just bought 10% of TESLA Motors; the price was - in Euros - in the eight-figure range. The main reason was to have access to, and develop, batteries for their coming electric cars.
Volkswagen AG is exploring options to…

Seems like we've got to continue with these hearings in order to take a valid pulse of the Public concerning the EPA's attempt at regulating human-made greenhouse gases. I am all for their two findings on this. The Public will have to push this administration to do the right thing EVEN if it means some economical pain will result. The following statements by the EPA indicate how much work we've ahead of us:
Speaking before the U.S. Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, EPA…

What is Electromagnetic Pollution?
TV, cell phone towers, power lines, and house appliances—while they make lives more convenient for some, they also contribute to polluting our electromagnetic atmosphere. A growing number of scientists, health care professionals, and concerned citizens argue that these invisible frequencies are responsible for a host of…

Good Afternoon:
It is 2:50P.M. est and I saw a report about renewable energy on your show. I had just tuned in, but, I was too late too see which Congressman you were interviewing about the Solar Energy program (US Air Force Base)that Pres. Obama outlined, and the Congressman basically said that he was wrong about the abilities of these programs (1 to 3% of total possible energy needs). This was very inaccurate information for the American people! It has been proven that Renewable Energy…

While there are certainly many activities and specific events taking place throughout the nation all year long (many now related to energy issues), perhaps we all should take a moment on July 8th to celebrate the creation of this unifying project, called the Pickens Plan by it's founder. Without this visionary's efforts, we still would be languishing in 1970's wishful thinking. So make sure that on this date you send a heartfelt thanks to Mr. Pickens for beginning this road to energy freedom,…

US Energy Secretary Steven Chu warned Tuesday there was no silver bullet for tackling climate change, and said a range of measures should be introduced. The Nobel laureate in physics called for a "new revolution" in energy generation to cut greenhouse gas emissions. The Obama administration wanted to paint roofs an energy-reflecting white. It was a geo-engineering scheme that was "completely benign" and would keep buildings cooler and reduce energy use from air conditioning, as well as…
