I wrote five letters and mailed them to five school Superintendents in Licking County - Johnstown, Heath, Granville, Licking Heights and Lakewood schools. The goal is to set a meeting with them in order to discuss the PickensPlan.
I'd like their blessing to meet with the science and social study teachers in the hopes those teachers will included a discussion of the PickensPlan in their classrooms.
I'll keep you posted as to the results.

It’s that time of year again and your Members of Congress will be home soon for the August recess. They’ll be attending summer BBQs, holding townhall meetings, and looking for opportunities to hear from YOU! There’s a lot going on and now is the time to keep the dangers of our dependence on foreign oil front and center.

I visited a wind farm in Marseilles, IL on 7/14/09 and enjoyed it so much I thought I'd write a blog post about it. Marseilles is a small town in Illinois located about 75 miles southwest of Chicago. The sign at the edge of town said the population is 4,800. Small towns in rural America have been decimated by the exodus of manufacturing jobs over the last 20 years and the renewable energy industry is a prime opportunity to create new jobs in these areas. The EPW hearing on 7/7/09 included…

Trading energy and pollution credits under the proposed Cap and Trade bill doesn't exactly make sense to me. Instead of implementing a $50 to $100 per month electricity "tax" that ultimately becomes a "slush fund" for political supporters and future adminstrations; we can accomploish significant energy revitalization in the private sector. We just need practical programs that promote the right message and includes soft "mandates" for implementation such as:
HOME ENERGY REINVESTMENT…

Have you heard of McDonalds?
Organizationally they are divided into Company owned and franchised stores.
I'd like to create an Alternative Energy Store using this style, company owned and franchised stores.
There are NO Alt. Energy Store in existance. This means that this is an OPEN MARKET. No competition!
Besides providing a source of hardware/consulting/services for Do It Yourselfer's (DIYer's) and professionals, it provides a wonderful business…

I came across this recent article where the author complained that the green sector isn't big enough to produce large numbers of new jobs.
GreenJobs.
On the other hand, I wrote an article about a month ago that suggests that the green industry is going to be a huge sector.
My Article.
So what is your take? Is Green a huge new sector or overhyped?

Good Morning,
I am sorry but there are a couple of things that I want to discuss this morning.
1. Health Care bill that the President is having town hall meetings about. I understand making it to where the Medical Companies need to have a cap put on the charges that they can charge. I have 2 issues with this. Instead of putting all this money into creating healt care for everyone. I think the money should be used to create jobs for american people and to STOP Global…
