April 18 1977 then President Jimmy Carter stated in his speech to the nation on the energy crisis; “Our decision about energy will test the character of the American people and the ability of the President and the Congress to govern this Nation. This difficult effort will be the “moral equivalent of war,” except that we will be uniting our efforts to build and not to destroy”. We failed that test we didn’t fight that war we withdrew and look what has happened 30 years later.
We must fight… Continue

I just wanted to let everyone know that I was successful Thursday evening getting an amendment to the Box Elder County codes to allow residential wind turbines in my zone (R-1-20). I tried to get the commissioners to approve other zones but they were really reluctant about approving until they see exactly what I’m installing. There were some strong personalities that didn’t want to approve the amendment at all but they finally gave up and approved it. I have been working on this for 5 months.…

Soooooooooo, I'm not sure what this is all about.
I am The World Champ Web Surfer, and I dicovered this site, it seems interesting. I always have had an experimentational/improvmental mindset re: energy, and EPA concerns. Yrs ago, I converted my business garage over to low energy usage, and considerably lowered my electric consumption.
I live on the Space Coast, and I'm curious whether or not there are any PP Org meetings around Central Florida? Is there anyone in Fla doing/developing…

Due to a steadily rising gas price in 2008 with the US national average price per gallon of regular unleaded gas above $4.00, there has been a steady movement towards developing higher fuel efficiency and more alternative energy vehicles for consumers. In response, many smaller companies have rapidly increased research and development into radically different ways of powering consumer vehicles. While Hybrid Vehicles (such as Toyota's Prius) and Electric Vehicles (such as the Tesla Roadster) are…

Rural America is struggling after the poorly thought out policies of our government on so many levels. We can and should be producing our energy. We don't have to wait, we just have to do it.
Hats off to Mr. Pickens and all the supporters

We belive that if we use less energy we would need less energy. We acomplish our part by using energy efficient lighting. The best way to conserve energy is to "Turn them Off". We do that by using occupancy sensors.

On September 11, of this year our family is incorporating FRRO. As an organization we intend to earn monies to fill in the gap that lower tax digests are sure to create over the next few years. Our intent is to be a non-profit fund that would be administered by the different branches of what we call The Rescue. We define the rescue as Fire, Police and Medical Professionals. Our concern is that the political budget has too many concerns to effectively provide all the equipment that is needed to…

This Labor Day weekend, I'd like to pause and express my personal gratitude to the hundreds, if not thousands, of volunteers who have contributed to this movement. Again and again I am informed that the motivation for their ongoing efforts - this "labor" of love - is not so much the PickensPlan itself, but rather the realization that this nation cannot continue to proceed down the same path as it has in the past.
Permit me to comment on why it is so important to reach out to our…

Wind and solar tax breaks setting
Congress is putting the short-term future of renewable energy companies in jeopardy even as the presidential candidates and most lawmakers hail windmills, solar panels and biofuels as long-term solutions to high gasoline prices and global warming.
Some $500 million in investment and production tax credits will expire Dec. 31 unless Congress renews them. Without that help, solar and wind power companies say they will reverse planned…

Harmons Leading Industry Again In Organics
Harmons is going organic – and recently earned approval from state and federal authorities for the hard-to-get "certified organic" distinction. The state’s oldest grocery store company has taken the rigorous steps to classify two entire departments at the company’s newest store as “certified organic.”
“Harmons is doing something very unique,” said Seth Winterton, deputy director of Utah’s Own Utah Organic Program. “They have…

I think T. Boone, is onto something for an Oilman, lolol. I mean here is a fella who's done plenty good for himself and his family. Sure he's made his Millions and why not. He did his homework, then blazed his own trail in life and that is as it should be. I don't know about all you good folks out there, but I get the chills in a good way just thinking of the idea that here is an Oilman not asking for our wallets or our purses so he can gain more money from hard working folks and families, He's…

T. Boone Pickens, a Man of Oil but yet is looking for better ways to help every American by focusing on becoming more and more less dependent on foreign sources of energy and changing the
economics in these dark times.
My wife and I both recently stepped out of our Professional Occupations to focus on helping people out financially. Carey was a
Realtor and I was employed in the Medical Field as a
Nuclear Medicine Specialist. We became blessed an are becoming…

Get with it America. We must look foolish and lazy. We are a fast food generation, a disposable waste nation, and obesely abundant country that wants everything NOW! Well guess what? Some of us don't have a clue what it means to work hard for something. We just expect a handout or want to do this but don't want to work to hard to get it. Wake up. We all need to get on the wind wagon or some kind of energy saving wagon if we are going to go anywhere. We must look elsewhere to secure the future…
