Box Elder County

I just wanted to let everyone know that I was successful Thursday evening getting an amendment to the Box Elder County codes to allow residential wind turbines in my zone (R-1-20). I tried to get the commissioners to approve other zones but they were really reluctant about approving until they see exactly what I’m installing. There were some strong personalities that didn’t want to approve the amendment at all but they finally gave up and approved it. I have been working on this for 5 months.… Continue

I am The World Champ Web Surfer, and I dicovered this site, it seems interesting. I always have had an experimentational/improvmental mindset re: energy, and EPA concerns. Yrs ago, I converted my business garage over to low energy usage, and considerably lowered my electric consumption.

My heart is in it!!!!

This is the end of my first two weeks in my seven month wind technician program. i am attending MAIT and so far so good. everyday my eyes open a little more and puts realization in my heart, that i am on the right path. i believe i have struck gold with my instructor because at the end of our six hour course everynight it seems we always have time to check out pickens web site as a class. and to be in that setting and see that kind of support with my own eyes gives me great confidence that old… Continue

Use Less Need Less

We belive that if we use less energy we would need less energy. We acomplish our part by using energy efficient lighting. The best way to conserve energy is to "Turn them Off". We do that by using occupancy sensors.
